| Answers: 1.Our maximum temperature is 115.1 degrees. 2. The minimum temperature was 74.5 degrees. 3. The range was 40.6 degrees. 4. We used polyester bating, felt, and tinfoil. We chose the polyester bating because it is used in quilts which keeps people warm. We chose the felt because it was the warmest thing that was left. We chose tin foil because people use it on food to keep it warm, so we thought it would trap the heat. It's also water resistant so we thought it would protect the bating and felt. 5. We didn't choose the wax paper because it doesn't really trap heat and it isn't water resistant. We didn't use the plastic wrap because it doesn't trap any heat. We wanted to use the foam but people took it so we couldn't use it. 6. We had one blip on our graph when it was calculating the water temperature. It did that because it was combining the two temperatures. 7. An insulator is a poor conductor of heat energy because it keeps the heat in and doesn't let it out. A good conductor lets things go through it. An insulator doesn't let the heat go through it. |
