My LetterDear Native Americans: Hello my name is Benjamin Franklin, I am the governor of Massachusetts, and I helped enable the colonists to have independence and freedom. I also helped make the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. I believe that colonists should have independence and and not have to listen to the British laws. I am one of the founding fathers because I helped the colonists gain independence and helped write the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence is really important to me because it helped get colonist independence I am a patriot who originally did not want the Revolutionary War to happen until the British made even more disgraceful laws that were not fair or right. I believe in God although I grew up a Calvinist Which is a faith that follows the forms and faith of the christian faith. I loved to write and print newspapers. This is important to me because I think the colonies should know what is going on with the soldiers and their families. Being the governor of Massachusetts was really important to me because that was the first time I was part of the government and that is another reason why I got to help write the Declaration of Independence. Sincerely, Benjamin Franklin Reflection My character is Benjamin Franklin and he a colonist who was a neutralist until the British started making even more unfair laws. When Ben became a Patriot he tried to get the British to make more fair laws but the British wouldn't listen. Ben tried to solve the problem by getting more people to try to get the British to make the laws fair. He also tried to get people to help fight in the revolutionary war. When Ben kept trying to get the British laws fair it didn't work. But some other colonist like Ben Started make something called the Declaration of Independence so Ben Franklin asked the colonist if he could help and they said he could. Once they finished making the declaration of independence they showed it to the British government and the British decide to make the laws a little more fair.

Summary At the historical reenactment I learned about all of the the people that lived in the 1770's and what they looked like. I also learned that every person had their own job and they each helped each other by trading things they made or buying things from other people. I liked how each person was different and had a different attitude. I also liked how people had much different jobs then we do today, and that everyone had a different part to play and a different way to help the village.
