Notes

Only 76 percent of the population have electricity and 24 percent don't.
Most people who have energy only use them for light and heat
most of the energy is made from fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and gas.
only ten percent comes from renewable resources
In 1850 the life span is about 38
A really big problem is malaria. 41 people live by malaria but only 6 get it a year.
today 100 people live in the global village
3000 years ago only 1 person lived in the village
in 500 years they had 2 people
in another 500 years they had 3 people
in 1000 5 people lived in the village
1500 8 people lived in the village
1650 10 people lived in the village
1800 17 people lived in the village
1900 32 people lived in the village
2012 100 people lived in the village
the village is gain about 1.5 people a year
by 2050 there will be 250 people in the village

Answer

The things that surprised me about the world is how bad some things are and how some people aren't as lucky as others. It really surprised me on how so many things could go wrong like if there was to much people in the world there wouldn't be enough food and other amenities that a person needs to surprise. Some things that upset me was how so many people in the world don't have electricity and how so many people don't have a shelter or a house to live in. I wish that everyone had a shelter or house to live in, that every one had food and water, and that everyone has that proper medicine to treat sickness or disease. The thing that made me want to improve this situation is that I felt bad for all of the people who need food and shelter. Another thing that made me want to improve on this situation is how the author told you what really happens around the world. A thing that I could do to help my community is volunteering at a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen to help people in need.

13 How Our Muscles Get the Nutrients it Needs

Blood Stream 2

Blood stream 2 does not have many changes. It looks like that it has maybe gotten a little greener. It just looks like normal jello. One more reason is that the coffee filter is dry.

Blood Stream 1

Blood stream 2 looks very very different. At the bottom of the cup there was lots of liquid. I think there is liquid because the meat tenderizer took the nutrient out (water). This relates to our stomach because the meat tenderizer did the same thing as the small intestine. It also does the same thing because it takes all the nutrients out of the jello. Another reason is how the coffe filter is wet.

1. They are different by one cup was very wet with water in the bottom from the jello. And the other one had nothing different and just stayed the same.
2.The process that is demonstrated is how the body takes all of the nutrients out of the food and gets rid of all the things in the food it does not need.
3. The process that is demonstrated is how the mucus is coated around all of the body to keep every thing in the body and not burning through the skin.
4. This helps us understand because it shows almost exactly how the body goes thru the process of digestion.

1. What did breathing through straws represent?

2. Why should we have this experience?

3. It was difficult to continue moving when you breathed through the straw. Why is that?

4. What are some things that affect the respiratory system and make it harder to breathe?

5. How would your daily life be affected if you could only breathe in small amounts of air with each breath?

1. Breathing threw the straws represented how kids with breathing problems breath and how we can still live with such little oxygen going to our lungs.

2. We should have this experience so we know how the lungs work and how the lungs still give us air with such little coming in.

3. It was difficult to continue moving because there was so little air and we weren't getting enough air to the rest of our body which did not motivate out body to move anymore.

4. Some things that could effect me to make it harder to breath would be if you smoked or if you had a breathing problem.

5. My daily life would not be fu because breathing such little air would not get me motivated to get up get dressed and go to school.
