- He was not sitting with Auggie on the first day because he wanted to sit with people he didn't have to defend or protect.
- I think Jack admires Summer because he said that she was not asked to be friends with Auggie, but she was just trying to be nice, which he thought was really brave.
- Jack was complaining to Auggie about how it is so terrible having nobody talks to him now, which Auggie thinks is ridiculous, because that is all that happens to Auggie
