What was difficult about this challenge?
What did you learn while completing this challenge?
What advice can you give others about becoming better at time management?

Reflection Questions Answers:

The hardest part of this project was Figuring out what to try and solve! Plus, making the project was really hard because I had no idea what to make it out of!
I learned a lot about solar energy and how hard it was to invent something!
If I could give any advice, i'd say to do something you really want to do because it wont be fun and you wont be excited to have 3 hours to do something you don't care about!

Explaining The Challenge

This challenge is about inventing something to help the environment! There is a 7 step Google Doc that we had to follow so had success while we were inventing a environmental helper! We got to Invent something to help the environment and enter it into a contest and have a chance to win a prize!

2. Explain The Problem I chose to Fix
I chose to battle the problem of pollution because I knew that pollution was a environmental problem and could be a little bit fixed if I did something on that so I chose to try and fix a little more

3. Explain The Solution

My solution for this problem was trying to conserve energy so I made a fan that stores energy from the sun instead of using batteries. It is called solar power and my fan preserves energy instead of using battery power by using sun rays and storing them until they get used for power!

Observing Earths Shadow Patterns

How are shadows made outside in the daytime? Provide some evidence to support your answer.
Can shadows be made inside the classroom? If so, how?
Do outside shadows change during the day? If so, how? Refer to the pole or stick the class observed outside if needed.
Think about the time between observations of the pole’s shadow. What happened?
What does this (the answer to #4) tell you about the sun’s position in the sky?
Insert one or two photos (from mine above) into your blog post to help you explain how the sun's position appears to follow an arc throughout the day.

They are made in the daytime by our bodies and the sun hitting them in the right angle! When the sun is low you get a really long shadow because of how its hitting you and its really short when its the middle of the day its really short because the sun is above you.
Shadows can be made in the classroom by somebody who shines a light on an object, which is alike to the sun shining on something.
Shadows do change during the day. When the sun "moves" across the sky its moving and if its casting the shadow while moving then the shadow itself is moving!
The shadow got shorter and longer throughout the day!
It tells me the earth moves or that the sun moves!

Why is this lesson on gravity a good time to teach about craters?

Answers:

A sphere best describes it.
Its center.
The tennis ball and rubber band, because if you try to pull away your finger it comes right back because of your " invisible rubber band " of gravitational pull.
They are helpful because you cant always use your imagination to see things like the person m aking the video, so models make sure the listener and the recorder see the same image.
I think the moon isnt connected to earths gravity because it isnt so close to earth. If it was on earths gravity it would be a whole lot closer to erth and keep getting closer! But it also could be affected by earths gravity because it circles around the earth and stays in the same position instead of falling into space!
A plane or bird dont fall from the sky because its balancing with gravity and moves fast.
Gravity never stops working its just something that comes in the package of earth like the air, air is what we breath in and its just something that we get. Well somethings caan czncel it out like a rocket, but thats because rocket use somuch power to break the force of gravity from keeping them down. Bird dont really cancel out gravity because they are pulled to the ground the second the stop gliding or flapping their wings.
Its a good time to teach craters when your teaching gravity because gravity is what pulles craters in towards the earth which makes them come down on our moon or planet!

Notes from my reasearch

Aristotle has made a lot of research on the planet and then he started to notice during the lunar eclipse that the shadow on the moons surface is rounded, and this is earths shadow and its a good clue that the earth is round!
If you stick a medium sized stick in the mud or somthing sticky it will make a shadow the shadow will move as the time in the day passes, If the world had been flat ( as some might think ) then two sticks in different locations would produce the same shawdow but they won't because the earth is rounf and not flat!
Planes or jets can travel in a pretty straight line without flling of the edge of the earth because if its a sphere there are no edges, and they can circle the earth without stopping!
If you are at a high spot, in a talll building or in a plane, you can look at the horizion and see the curve of the earth!

Notes from mini lesson

We have known the erath is round for thousands of years!
Ships do appear to sink as they cross over the horizion line because of the curved surface.
The pull of gravity is about equal from any point on the earths surface!
We can travel to space and take photos and videos of the Earth directly observing its true shape, a sphere!

. It compares so differntly because our drawings are about 5 inches and the real earth is about 500000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 ect. inches.
. They represent earth by its shape and mostly what it kinda looks like. Though it can not by the size becasue its too big in real life!
.It effects it becasue some points of the drawing can be groun of one side of the earth while others could be a whole differnt side becasue of where you are looking at it from!
