What was hard about the game? Explain in detail!
Was the game a valuable use of class time? If so, why? If not, why not?
Regardless of your answer to #2 above, if you were marketing this game to teachers, what would you claim this game is good for in the classroom? What skills do students learn from this game?

You didn't get to see your partners screen. So, if they told you something and you heard wrong, you might cut the wrong cord and sink the ENTIRE ship.
It helped us collaborate and work as a team together! You had to be able to understand your partner.
I would say that it helps the children get to know each other and understand each other better to grow and be stronger friends!

Reflections from Dubai

My teacher, Mr. Solarz, was fortunate enough to travel to Dubai last week for an education conference and to meet former Top 50 Global Teacher Prize candidates for the Varkey GEMS Global Teacher Prize. He shared his unbelievable experience with us, and here are some things that I learned from our discussion:

I learned that the money in Dubai is written in English and their language but not in the other languages
I learned that even though we have different cultures and religions we are still all the same and we may not speak the same or look the same but we are!
I learned that everyone has talents and everyone has improvement for talents and we should try and help others with talents and then they can help us to be better people.
I learned that everyone has some time to shine and we should be able to let them.
I learned about how Dubai has so many different landscapes and it looks so different all over it!

Answers

I chose this poem because when I was six my dad used to read this poem to me every night. I think it stands out because its funny and it doesn't loose your attention!
I like that there can be so many different kinds of poems and different ways to write it!
