I am choosing practicing my clarinet event.
Details:

• I took out all the pieces of my clarinet out of my case.
• I put all my pieces of the clarinet into one.
• I put the reed onto the mouth piece of the clarinet.
• I took out my music stand and put it together.
• I put my music book onto the stand.
• I put the mouth piece of the clarinet up to my face
• I blew.
• I pressed different keys.
  

Directions:

1. Post a video or picture of the tug-of-war.
2. Complete the tug-of-war section on the TCI website.
3. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: Write a long paragraph explaining what we did and how all of the metaphors worked (Red team, incentive, timing, etc.).

3. What we did at the tug of war thing was fun! It was such a buzz of excitement! People were pulling and chanting for the other team it was crazy and loud! The red team did not have that many people while the blue team had lots of members. The red team were the British because they were strong had had lots of experience. The blue team were the Continental Army because they had more people but less experience in fighting the war. This activity was really fun and a good experience to learn about the Rev War. I liked it a lot even though I did not get to participate.
 
4. Reflection Questions:
1. I was not a member of any team, I was the camera person.
2. I felt excited because it was really tense.
3. I thought that the blue team would win because they had more people on their team and because they had more reinforcements.
4. I got more discourage because the more rules that Mr. Solarz gave out, the more things that we could of done could not get done.
5. The blue team won because they had more people on their team and lots of reinforcements that helped them when they needed the help.
6. After the Americans won the war, they got their freedom to make their own rules and have their own land. What changed in America was that got the freedom and would not have to fight anymore. It was important that America won because they wanted their freedom for along time.
7. If America lost the war, then the war would keep on going and the Americans would be angry and frustrated that they lost. They might not stop fighting until they finally got their freedom.

1: I wonder what Henry's Freedom Box even means? What does that have to do with the underground railroad? I think that it means that Henry might be trying to escape from slavery!
2: I know that about this topic that the underground railroad has to do with slavery and that the underground railroad was not really a railroad or underground.
3: Some questions I have before reading this book are: What is the Freedom Box? Why was the underground railroad called that? Will Henry be able to escape? How hard is Henry's life?
4: I think that this book is historical nonfiction and literary nonfiction. It helps me prepare for my reading my letting me know that this might be historical.

1: I have learned that slavery must have been a really tough time back then but white men at least help the slaves escape from the unfree states. I learned that the underground railroad was really not a real railroad. I learned that Henry Box Brown was a really a real person and that slaves were not able to know when their birthday was.
2: The important ideas that stuck with me were that slavery was tough and that the underground railroad was not a real railroad it was just slaves going to different cabins and hiding there until morning and then they would run for another 20 miles or so.
