We my class of 22 including Mr.Solarz started in independence Missouri. We got there by a teleporter when we were on Mars. We had smashed a guy that had a bunch of gold. We got lucky and just took it. So we needed supplies and we decided to get oxen which was great but we got Conestoga wagons. That wa bad so we lost some money but traded them out for Prairie Schooners. We whent and forded a river a lived. But Alison lost a foot. We kept going taking a few breaks but when we got to Fort Larime a few things happened. Allison is fine Aidan is sick and is staying behind. Hanna is staying behind to because she has a crush.

Watery Earth Lesson 9- Finding Bodies of Water on Maps

5/20/2015

  • What bodies of surface water did you find while examining the three maps?
  • Were there any types of surface water on the Arlington Heights map that you weren’t able to find on the Illinois map? If so, why?
  • Were there any types of surface water on the Illinois map that you couldn’t find on the United States map? If so, why?
  • What are some names of the bodies of water in Illinois and Arlington Heights? What bodies of water did you identify?
1.St Lorrence River, Port Royal Sound and Mead Lake. Mead Lake is also a reservoir.
2. You cant find creeks on the Illinois map or at least I didn't see them. The reason is because creeks are really shallow and not that wide. There not big enough to put on a map.
3.There was lakes that you couldn't see on the US map because they were small and not big enough to put on the map. Theres already a lot of stuff on the map so smaller lakes cant go on the really big map.
4. I found lakes, creeks and rivers. Lakes were the most common then rivers and then creeks.

Watery Earth Lesson 7

4/30/2015

I am a water molecule. I have few friends that stick with me forever but sometimes I see them. This time I'm going in some guy. Oh he sweating. I'm going through now. I'm on him. I'm on him and just sitting here. No. Im falling. I tumble through the air to the ground. I hit it with what seems to be a thud to me is maybe a little pop to these human. I'm in a gym and there's sweat everywhere. I see Bob my friend molecule. Hes evaporated. I'm perspiration which is when I evaporate from a human. Me and my buddy's are hoping to meet up at cloud. After a minute I was in a cloud. I saw my friend.

“Hey I came from transportation you know the plant one.” My friend said.

“Yeah I came from the human.” I answered. Then Bob came up. Apparently he just came from accumulation the one from the ground. We were all condensing. We started with condensation though. Then we saw something. we never noticed it but there was millions of molecules. Before we could say another word. Bob fell under the floor. So did hundreds of others. I fell. I was going through the air. We all were going through precipitation. I was falling but I was thrown back. Again and again. But after a few time I saw Bob he stuck me with other others to. We were turning in to hail. After a few more time we were a piece of hail. We got gusted again. And fell.

Watery Earth Lesson 6- Drops of Water on Different Surfaces

4/28/2015

Surface

Sticks

Grass

Rock

Tree Buds

Water

Prediction

I think its going to hit it then either roll down it or go around it.

I think that it going to go to the bottom but some stay on top.

I think its going to hit and and stay where it hits.

I think that the drop is going to go to the bottom.

I think this is going to pop up when it hits the water.

Actual

It just hit and absorbed. It also rolled under but was good

It did exactly the prediction.

It did hit and stay but some went down.

It did but some stayed on top.

It popped a little but not much.

Reflection

I was thinking that it would drip down but it didn't and stayed and absorbed, rolled down or went under.
I was happy that what I thought was correct.

I was thinking this might happen once I started but I wasn't at all sure.

I was a little surprised about this because the tree buds are so small that I thought they'd fall right off.
I was surprised because I thought it would pop a lot more then it did.

Science Fair Presentation- First Draft

I'm glad I recorded my presentation on video before the Science Fair because...: I glad because it gave me some experience and I then could know what I'm going to say. I had the experience except it want the real thing but I still got some experience.

Science Fair Presentation- Improved Version

By the end of the Science Fair, my presentation was much better because:  I knew what to say and was comfortable. I also got used to talking to strangers or saying kid friendly words.
  1. Overall, I think that the Science Fair was a valuable experience because...
  2. I definitely made some mistakes along the way, but I learned from them. Here are some examples...
  3. If I were given the chance to do anything differently, I would...
1.  It let me feel like I was a business man selling my product and trying to outnumber other people. It let me be able to get used to thing like that faster.
2. Well some times I shortened it a lot like I only told 1 slide because I had done so many that I got tired.
3. If I had a chance I would try and just deal with everything. I would also like to like say hey you wanna see my project more even though I did it a lot.
