Energy Lesson 6 - Insulated Bottles

What was your maximum temperature (use your Data Chart, not the picture)?
What was your minimum temperature (use your Data Chart, not the picture)?
What is your range? If you had any penalties or gifts, include those in your total.
What materials did you use in your insulated bottle (type them in order from your first layer, second layer, and third layer.)? Why did you choose the materials that you did?
What are some materials that you didn't choose? Why didn't you choose them?
Explain any blips on your graph (if you have them). Why do you think it did that?
Is an insulator a good or a poor conductor of heat energy? This is an important question, so really think before you answer it!

4. plastic wrap, fleece, polyester, tinfoil because they are good insulators and conductors
5. quilt, carpet stuff, bubble wrap, because we couldn't get to a lot of it and also the quilt was not very useful.
6. I think a lot of the blips were because the probe moved to the sides or center.
7. I think it is, because it keeps the heat inside the cup.

Stop and jots

Jack is Emailing Mr. Tushman to apologize for punching Julian. He gave a hint about what Julian said.
Mr. Tushman knows what happened but did not tell Jack about it.
Julian's mom is a member of the school board and she thinks Auggie should go to a special needs school.
She thinks Auggie should not be allowed to go to Beecher Prep.
Mr. Tushman tells Julian's mom that Auggie does not have special needs but just looks different.
Jack Will told Auggie that he knows why he is mad at him.
Dun Dun Dun - Auggie asks Jack Will if Summer told him why Auggie was mad at him.
