Some facts I learned about Joseph Ofallon is that he is a Irish men. His occupation was that he was a trapper. A trapper is someone who doesn't trap animals but he skins them to just get the fur.

K: I know that the cheetah is the one of the fastest animals. | W: I want to know if the cheetah is the fastest animal in the world. | H: I will find out by books, background knowledge, and internet. |
L: I learned that some of the fastest animals are some of the deadliest animals like the Lion. | A: I will start to pay attention to what is about to be come extinct and see if there is any possible way to help. | Q: How do the animals get the speed they have like the cheetah and the lion. |
| I. learned that there are a lot of similarities and not that many differences between them. Did you know that all the angles of them both of them are 90º(right angles). 2. I learned that the all the sides of each shapes are parallel. Also that all the sides are straight. 3. The most valuable resource that we used was our background knowledge. It was our most valuable resource because we new a lot about these two shapes. Also it saved us some time by not researching and just typing. |
It will pop the balloons.

What was the most surprising thing you learned about energy during this entire unit? Why was it surprising? 2. What was your favorite part of this energy unit? Why was it your favorite? 3. Where is energy found? 4. How would you define energy? | 1. I learned that the sun is strong enough to melt rubber. This is surprising because I never knew that the could melt rubber. This is also surprising because the rubber is not easily melted unless it extremely hot out. 2.My favorite part in this energy unit was the insulator challenge with the water bottle. It was my favorite station because it was exciting to see witch materials was a good insulator. The foam was the best because we compere answers. 3. Energy is found everywhere including our bodies. It is cool that we actually have energy inside our bodies. 4. I would define energy of mt background knowledge. I have lots of background knowledge of energy so it would be a little bit easier for me. |
| 1. My maximum temp is 113.1. It was my maximum temp because the water was hot and we just put it in the freezing water. 2.MY Min was 55.3. It is surprising that our min is only .1 degrees lower than our range. 3.Our range was 55.4. It is surprising that our range was only .1 degrees higher than our min. 4. We used cotton, foil, foam, and niolin. We used these metrials because we thought the metrials would be a good insulator. 5.We didn't chose the paper because we thought it would be a good insulator because it was so thin. I wanted to do the paper but my group wouldn't agree. 6. We had one huge blip but that was because one person tripped on the cord and yanked it. The blip was our biggest blip. 7. A insulator is a poor conductor of heat. The best is probably the foam. |
1.Wood or bamboo
2. Aluminum
3.Copper (redish)
4. Brass (Goldish)
5.Plastic
I think the copper will slide first because the copper is really really smooth.
I think the Brass Will slide second because it is real smooth.
I think the plastic will slide third because it is pretty smooth.
I think Aluminum will slide fourth because it is kind of smooth.
I think the wood will slide last because it is not so smooth.

| 1.The heat traveled through the rod into the butter and then the butter slid. The metal material is the best to slide. 2.The connection I can make is that the experiments had heat in them a difference was that one had butter and the other had water. The experiments were both real cool and interesting to watch. 3.My results were almost nothing like mt predictions. My first one that I thought would slide was the copper and I was right but all the other ones were wrong except the last one. 4. The two best conductors were the copper and the aluminum my evidence is that those were the first ones to slide. I thought the copper was the best because it was the best conductor. 5. The two worst conductors were the wood and the plastic my evidence is that those were the two last to slide. I thought the wood was the worst conductor because I knew off my background knowledge. 6. I think the water is a good conductor because I knew off my background knowledge in science last year. 7. I think it maters which material is a good or bad conductor because we use them a lot in our life. We use conductors in our life because we might have to transfer something from a metrial to another metrial and conductors are a useful tool in life for these kinds of situations. |
| 1. I wasn't there. 2. The graph shows that the water for the hot water temp dramatically fell and that the cold water was rising slowly. The hot water went from so hot to like supper cold. 3.I notice that the graph showed that the hot was no longer hot and the cold rose but not by a lot. It rose by evaporation I think. 4. I the arm water evaporated into the cold water and the cold water evaporated into the warm water. I also think some of the water actually evaporated into the air. 5. I think the water did go through the red cup because how else would the water get warmer. The cold also leaked into the red cup. 6. The heat energy moved into the the big container and it evaporated into the air and went up. The heat went up because when heat is evaporated it went up because that is what it always does. |
Reflection & Synthesis Questions:
| 1. Energy is found everywhere including our bodies. Another example would be almost everything has energy in it. 2. Motion energy is easiest to notice, and chemical energy is hardest to notice. Another example is that light energy is easiest. 3. Light energy is heat and light. Another example is the sun provides chemical to. 4. Energy is important because life would be lifeless without it. Another example would be life would have no action. |
