  1. Who was your famous person and why were they famous?
  2. Why is it important for children to study specific people's lives from a time period in history?
  3. What was the hardest part about completing your Revolutionary War Hero Project? What made it hard?
  4. How did it make you feel to complete your Revolutionary War Hero Project without much help from adults? Why?
1. My famous person that I researched about was Nathanael Greene. He was most famous for fighting in the revolutionary war as a major general for the continental army. His most famous battle he fought in was probably the Battle at Guilford Court house.
2. Because they can learn about what it was like back then in their history. Also how the person thought about what it was like back then.
3. Making the backpack was probably the hardest thing I did to complete the project. It was hard because he was a general in the army and I don't think he carried very much because he had to be light so he could move around faster.
4. It made me fell very proud of my self and independent. It made me feel this way because I did it all by myself without very much help from adults so I know that I can do stuff by myself pretty well. Also made me feel proud for meeting all the deadlines.

  1. How hard was it to describe your creature?
  2. What did you do well?
  3. What do you wish you did better so your partner could have drawn it better?
  4. How well did you do in drawing your partner's creature?
  5. What do you wish they did better to have helped you draw the creature better?
1.  Hard because the face had all these little details that I had to figure out how to describe them. It wasn't very hard though because the body was very plain.
2. I wrote well about how it was moving and acting because I just thought what a weird monster would do. Also the monster looked very dum so I made it do dum stuff.
3.  I should've said how big the face was so he could have got a better visual of the creature I was describing. Also when he drew it he drew the face very small so you couldn't see all the little details.
4. Okay because I got the antennes right and it's feet right too. Also I did bad because I thought he ment the sheep like hair just covered his body not it's face too.
5. If He had told me the sheep like hair covered everything except it's feet and antennes. Also if he told me it was very small because I drew him pretty big.

Revolutionary War Tug-of-rope

    The tug of war activity was like a metaphor for the Revolutionary War because at the start of the war Great Britain won a lot of early battles because they had more troops just like at the start of our tug-of-rope activity. Then at the end of the war colonies got more troops and the war ended at a tie,but the colonies still won because Great Britain had to win to get their land from the colonies. That happened in our tug-of-war activity.Also the Red team was supposably the tallest and strongest like Great Britian and The blue team was supposably the smallest and weakest representing the colonies.
    There was also another team that was the white team they were representing France or Spain coming to help the colonies. The white team had to come in late because they had to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Also the blue team got a reward if they won because in the Revolutionary War the colonies got to keep their land.
    Their was one kid on the blue team ( Tucker ) that didn't get a prize because he was a slave for the colonies so he didn't get a prize. The White team cheered for the colonies before they came to help because they didn't like Great Britain so they wanted the colonies to win. Also part of the Red team had to come late because some of England's troops have not came over so they had to cross the ocean to get to the war.
    Finally the Red team had to get the rope passed the bag because they to win the war to get the land and the colonies just had to prevent England from winning and getting their land.
    That is a metaphor for the Revolutionary War, but just in a shorter time.
   
   

3. Finally, answer the following reflection questions:
  1. Which team were you a member of?
  2. How did you feel at the beginning of the game?
  3. Who did you think would win the game at first (RED or BLUE)?  Why?
  4. How did you feel as the rules changed?  Did you get discouraged or more confident?  Why?
  5. What were the reasons why the BLUE team won?
1. I was on the White team.
2. I felt mad that I didn't get to go in right away. Also I felt nervous because I might not get to participate in it because the Blue Team couldn't hold the Red Team off for 40 seconds.
3. Red because they were suppossably Stronger and they were bigger. Also Blue were small and might not fight off them long enough for its allies to help.
4. I felt good because then the Red team had to pull the middle of the rope all the way to the bag and Blue just had to hold them off till their allies came. Also I got more confident because I might get in the game because of the change of rules.
5. They had lots of people coming to help them so it was an equal match. Also They just had to hold the Red Team off till the battle was over.
