  Red States = republican Blue States = democrtic Teal States = undecided Here is my explanaition of the how the electoral college works. You vote for who you want but you're not actually voting for that person. You vote for the person because the popular vote is your vote and if your state is more of either candidate that is the person the electors vote for. You can vote either candidate even if you are on the other side. You vote for the popular vote and the popular vote went to Hillary but Trump won the electoral votes. Most states are red but Hillary won the popular. Trump won the electoral but lost the popular so he still won. Hillary was the more wanted president but because Trump won the majority of states in the electoral college so he got the electoral votes and Clinton was wanted more because she won the popular vote which means more people voted for her and she was again the most wanted. Most people liked Cinton more.  lllinois has traditionally been a Democratic state when it comes to Presidential Elections. Explain why.
There are a lot of cites and the cities are normally democratic and Chicago is a very big city in Illinois so that means that it is probably democratic and it was so that means it is a democratic city. Whether you're happy or not,what are some things you hope that President Trump will be able to do for our country over the next four years.
