How Our Muscles Know When To Move

Was it more difficult to catch the ruler using one of the senses as compared to the other? Explain.
How could you use only the sense of smell to catch the ruler?
How could you use only the sense of taste to catch the ruler?
Explain how your senses, nerves, brain, and muscles in your fingers helped you to catch the ruler for one of the senses explored. Use pages 17-23 of your student reference book to help you.
How did your body respond when the ball of paper was thrown at you?
How would this reflex protect your eyes if the transparency had not been there?
Do you think the nervous system responded to catching the ruler and blinking in the same way? Why or why not? Were the senses used in both? Were muscles used in both? Did you have to think about both actions?

It was more difficult using touch because It depends if they tap you at the right moment. If the don't it could mess you up.
When they drop it you smell some thing. When you smell it you grab it.
When you taste it you grab it. If you taste at the wrong moment you get messed up.
It helped because it triggered me to do something. With my senses when something happened it triggered me to do some thing.
I reacted by flinching. I flinched because it was my body's reaction.
It would've stopped the paper from hurting my eye. It would stop it because it would block/shield my eyes.
I think it reacted differently. One was to do something, one was to protect something.

What is the problem in the scene? There are only 3 watermelons left.
When does the character have to make a tough choice? If Sid should run through or give the watermelon.
What choice does the character make? Sid runs through them.
What twists happen in the scene? Sid spikes the watermelon and it breaks.

What is the problem in the scene? The baby goes down the ice slide.
When does the character have to make a tough choice? If Sid, Manny, and Diego should follow the baby or leave it.
What choice does the character make? They follow the baby down the slide.
What twists happen in the scene? They get the baby but then he gets away.
