Hello Charlotte Arendell,
I am a patriot spy that helped George Washington and his army. To stay in disguise I wore my favorite bonnet that my father gave to me and I used everyday since. I also use my dress to stay in disguise because when I was in England with my whole family, I made dresses for the women and it reminded me of them while I wore mine, so I thought that wearing things that were important to me would give me good luck and confidence. This all happened because of Major John Andre knocking on my door and said that he was kicking me out of my house because the British needed it for an important meeting. When he told me that, I was surprised because he told me something so important and he did not think I would tell people that. Anyway, that night I snuck in and ran into a linen closet with no one seeing me. I listened in on the conversation and heard everything they were planning to do. I was so surprised of what they said I had to warn people, so I went to the country and warned everybody there. While I was walking back to my hometown I ran into my son and his friend Craig who was in the military. I passed on the news of the British’ plans to Craig, who promised he would take it to General Washington himself. When George got the news he was ready for the attack and he planned a way to attack them back. When this all happened I was so proud of myself because I protected the American flag, and I knew that it was going to be a big deal to me so I loved it for the rest of time.
Love,

Love,
Lydia Darragh wanted everybody to know that the British were bad people and that they were going to sneak attack the patriots. She had to sneak into a linen closet for a couple of hours just to find out what they were going to do to the patriot army. I was proud of her because if she was not so determent about the meeting she would of left it alone and history would have been changed a lot. She knew that something bad was going to happen if she did not tell some one so she told the whole town and country. I bet she was so relived when Craig came with her son because she told them everything and they warned everybody including General George.
