It was difficult to continue moving when you breathed through the straw. Why is that?
What are some things that affect the respiratory system and make it harder to breathe?
How would your daily life be affected if you could only breathe in small amounts of air with each breath?
Breathing through the straws represented that it was very difficult to breathe with limited air. Breathing through straws could also represent a as ma attack because it was so hard to breathe. I think that it would be really difficult to have to breath through straws all the time.
We should have the experience so we can understand someone with as ma and what to do when they are having an attack! It also will help us without as ma to know how to calm ourselves down when we can't breathe as well.
It's difficult because to move we need oxygen in our cells and with limited air, we would have limited oxygen in our body!
Having a smaller windpipe would make it harder to breathe because we wouldn't be able to get as much oxygen. Moving really fast would also affect us because we need lots of oxygen, so we would have to breath really fast.
In our daily life we wouldn't to be able to move that fast because we would need lots of air. We also would need to take huge breaths even when we are walking slow because the air would be so limited! Sleeping would still be easy. but we would maybe need to focus more on breathing while asleep!
