Science Fair Presentation - First Draft

I'm glad I recorded my presentation on video before the Science Fair because:

  • It showed that I wasn't as confident talking and telling about my project.
  • I can compare my first video to my second to see if as improved from start to finish.

Science Fair Presentation - Improved Version

By the end of Science Fair, my presentation was much better because:

  • I practiced a lot of times.
  • I got more confident talking to people the more I practiced.

They start falling and every drop is ready for the long journy ahead of them. The one eager raindrop leads the pack and is the first one to fall. Falling out of the sky he sees the beautiful Colorado mountains that hes about to slide down. The closer he gets the more his face brightens. Then bam hes wooshing down the mountain with twists and turns having the time of his life. At the end of the mountain he drops into a lake. So knowing that he had five long days before evaporation he went swimming, raced with fish, rode fish, he played a game of catch with a pebble, and he went diving. Then all of a sudden it felt like he was being sucked up by and alien spaceship and he knew it was evaporation. Soon after condenstation happened. The next day he hit that mountain and waited for the fun all again.

Oregon Trail Reflection

So far on the Oregon trail it's been a tough journey from blisters to sickness. Like Matilda Faulk who suffered from horrible blisters and ended up having to get her foot amputated. Or Iskandar Alatas who's terribly sick. A nice man offered to sell us snake oil because he said it helped the sickness. Not everyone believed so with further research we found it was a fraud. But don't get me wrong there's still beauty on the trail from all the flowers and plants to the wildlife roaming around. We have stoped at fort Kearny and know fort Learmie. At fort Learmie 2 of our people decided to stay behind so now we set off for the rest of our journy.

   The Girl teaches the Hippo

Your way isn't always the right way

Madi N.

Once there was a little girl named Lydia who lived in animal village with all of her wonderful animals. She had 2 elephants, 4 monkeys, and 1 hippo who she adored the most. His name was Hip-Hop and they played together all the time.

“Hello Lydia” said Hip-Hop.

“Hi” responded Lydia with a smile.

“Is there any way you could help me out today” she asked

“With what” he asked.

“Well I got a call from Farmer Pinky and he said it would be great if we could help out by feeding the animals, painting the barn, and repairing the fence.”

“Okay” replied Hip-Hop.

So Lydia and Hip-Hop headed of to Farmer Pinkys. They talked for the whole walk when they finally got there Farmer Pinky rushed over.

“I’m so glad you made it so many things are going wrong.”

Both got right to work. There was a couple extra thing he had them do so first they did the fast things. Finish some chores, milk the cows, wash the pigs, and mow the lawn. Hip-Hop was so excited to leave and go play but they still had three other things to do so Hip-Hop got really sad. They had to feed the animals, paint the barn, and repair the fence.

“Okay I think we should both paint the barn, then repair the fence, and last split off to feed all the animals” said Lydia.

“NO. It would be easier to split up. I’ll paint the barn, you repair the fence, and whoever finishes first feeds the animals because I want to play. So we are going to do it my way.” Hip-Hop wasn’t right though. Even if he had a good idea Lydia’s could’ve had a good idea to. They probably should have done Lydia’s idea because teamwork can get things done faster. But they ended up doing Hip-Hop's idea because he enforced it. You shouldn’t always assume your idea is right and you should consider other people's ideas. Your way isn't always the right way.
