The Girl teaches the Hippo
Your way isn't always the right way
Madi N.
Once there was a little girl named Lydia who lived in animal village with all of her wonderful animals. She had 2 elephants, 4 monkeys, and 1 hippo who she adored the most. His name was Hip-Hop and they played together all the time.
“Hello Lydia” said Hip-Hop.
“Hi” responded Lydia with a smile.
“Is there any way you could help me out today” she asked
“With what” he asked.
“Well I got a call from Farmer Pinky and he said it would be great if we could help out by feeding the animals, painting the barn, and repairing the fence.”
“Okay” replied Hip-Hop.
So Lydia and Hip-Hop headed of to Farmer Pinkys. They talked for the whole walk when they finally got there Farmer Pinky rushed over.
“I’m so glad you made it so many things are going wrong.”
Both got right to work. There was a couple extra thing he had them do so first they did the fast things. Finish some chores, milk the cows, wash the pigs, and mow the lawn. Hip-Hop was so excited to leave and go play but they still had three other things to do so Hip-Hop got really sad. They had to feed the animals, paint the barn, and repair the fence.
“Okay I think we should both paint the barn, then repair the fence, and last split off to feed all the animals” said Lydia.
“NO. It would be easier to split up. I’ll paint the barn, you repair the fence, and whoever finishes first feeds the animals because I want to play. So we are going to do it my way.” Hip-Hop wasn’t right though. Even if he had a good idea Lydia’s could’ve had a good idea to. They probably should have done Lydia’s idea because teamwork can get things done faster. But they ended up doing Hip-Hop's idea because he enforced it. You shouldn’t always assume your idea is right and you should consider other people's ideas. Your way isn't always the right way.
