I learned that the                    I made a website and a                       How do they rank the national soccer

players then they                    learned.
narrow it down to
23 players.

Reflection: I learned that they have a 23 man roster. I think find the top 30 teams and researching about them was fun. I think finding what they do with the players was difficult. I think making the website was the easiest thing. I think I would manage my time more wisely next time and do more on the website. I would say maybe do the Trello first.

What did I learn?
I learned that some of the fastest animals are some of the deadliest killers like the king of the jungle(lion).

What do I know?
I know that cheetahs are one of the fastest land animals in the world and may be the fastest. I also know that hawks can be faster than a cheetah when it is flying.

What action will I take?
The action I will take is pay more attention to the fastest animal and the deadliest animals because they are very interesting to learn about.

What do I want to know?
I want to know what all the fastest animals are and I want to research so I will get more background knowledge  about them.

How will I find out?
I will look on the web and in books.

What questions I have?

What makes the cheetah so fast?
How does the lion get its strength and how does it use its power.

Reflection:

  • 1.What was difficult?
  • 2.What easy?
  • 3.What did I learn?
  • 4.What was the most fun?
  • 5.What would differently next time?

  • 1. One thing that was difficult was finding the facts and getting them on to my page. It was difficult because I could not remember so many thins at once.
2.One thing that was easy was creating my website. It was easy because there were so little things I had to remember and I had other people to help me with it.
3.I think the most fun thing I did was creating the video. It was fun because you had no scripts and you could say what ever you wanted to.
    4.One thing I would do
differently next time is getting the facts. I would write them down insted of trying to remember all of them.

    What do I Know?

That their have been 7 ice ages and that an ice
age make us suffer, and that ice ages are when glaciers form around are earth.

    What have I learned?

I have learned that an ice age is when ice forms into a glacier and that glacier forms around the earth and turns into a snowball earth.

What do I want to know?
I want to know how it effects are planet and us.
    How do I find out?
I will research and ask people if they know anything about it.

    What Action will I take
    ?

I will  tell them to take a look at my website and also watch the videos on it I would want to tell some one but I don't want to bore them with a long talk summary so I would want them to learn by having fun on my website.

    What questions do I have
    ?

I want to know when the scientists think when the next ice age will happen?
    My reflection
I think that this topic was something that helped understand my question a lot more. At first I was thinking it was way to hard but when I figured out that an Ice age is really a simple thing to understand if you search the right thing, I went straight to the websites I saw and started reading. Once I did that it was so easy for me to understand and then I just started writing down what it meant on my website and I had a more easy time doing my topic.

How Does the Climate you Live in Effect how you Live? By: Aidan O.

I know that you have to make a house that you can live in that lets you survive in your climate.
I also know that you have to adapt to eating the food the climate gives you.
                            L
I have learned that Lots of tribes make houses out of land around you and some tribes take plants and wood of supplies around them.
I also learn that most tribes eat one main food and have other extra reserve food.

                            W
I want to know all the different climates people live in.
I also want to know what most of the types of food people eat and all the types of homes people live in.
                            A
I will keep learning about different climates that I didn't cover and try to figure out different ways their climates effected them and I will also Try to get more information about those climates on my website.
                            H
I will research all about the food and houses people live in and what the climate makes them eat.
I will make a website about all I have learned.
                            Q
Why do some climates have more supplies for people to use than other Climates?
Why do people back then choose to live in harsh climates?
    Reflection:

What was the most fun? Making my website especially making my collage and writing everything down about the different tribes I learned about and learning some of weebly's cool tricks.

What was Difficult? At First I had trouble finding tribes that lived in the climate I was trying to learn about. Another thing that was difficult was trying to figure out what the climate made them eat and what shelter they made.

What was easy for me was that making a screencast is easy if you have enough information. Another thing that was easy for me was that once I figured out what to type in to find something it was easy to find people that lived in the climate.

                               L
                What have I learned?
    • I learned that there truly is the perfect dog for every family
    • I learned that some dogs have extreme requirements so you need to know everything about the breed you want
                             W
What do I want to know?
    • I want to know the best techniques I can use
    • I want to know the benefits of having a dog
    • I want to know why some parents don't want a dog
                            A
               What action will I take?
    • I will make a presentation and apply what I learned
    • I will raise money and show that I am responsible enough to have a dog
    • I will show this site to others that want a dog
                              H
                 How will I find out?
    • I will go online, find persuasion techniques, and apply them to my question
    • I will watch videos about benefits of a dog and specific breeds
                              Q
What new questions do I have?
    • I want to know what makes each breed different and special
    • I want to know what characteristics get passed down when dogs breed
    Refection

I had a lot of fun doing this project! I hope that I will be able to get a dog.
I learned that there are lots of components to getting a dog and they all must be perfect if you want to convince your parents that a dog is right for you. The most fun part was finding all of the information and pictures for my site. The hardest part was making the screen cast and making up words on the fly. The easiest part was finding good information that would help everyone. The advice I would give to people would be to be patient, both in asking and also looking for information. A lot of websites have the same information so you would need to look hard.

    K
I know the M4 Sherman was in WW2 and the Tiger. I know the KV-1 was a Russian tank. Churchill was a British tank.
    L
I learned a lot about tanks used and how they used them. How the French were knocked out early in World War 2. Also that tanks were made at the end of World war 1.
    W
I want know to some history focusing mostly on World War 2.
    A
I will keep looking for videos online about tanks and I will read books on them more.
    H
I will make a website by reading and using the internet.
    Q

I would want to know still some of the tanks between World War 2 and the present day.
    Reflection
I would like to give some advice to other people doing this project. You cannot do every specific detail of all tanks or all events. If you have a month you could do it if you worked really hard but if you did all tanks it would take years. This is a broad question and you need to narrow it down. I kept this question but did it differently. The most fun for me was making my screen cast because me myself I like to tell people about tanks. I know a lot so it helps.

How did giant sloths become extinct and what were their lives like? By: Kaela S

    What I Know
What I know is that Giant Sloths lived a long long time ago in the dinosaur age. They would also eat only leaves and that it was only a herbivore. I also know that it is two times bigger than a mini car and its maximum size would be a size of a bus.
    What I want to know
What I want to know is where would they sleep and what would they sleep on? Another question I have is how they got extinct was it by hunters or did they just run out of food? What was there real name?
    How I will find out
How I will I find out is I will do safe search on the internet or you tube videos to tell me why. Also I will search there real name.
    What have I learned
I have learned that it's real name is the Megatherium. It was a herbivore. And that it lived underground.
    What action I will take
I will post it online. I will tell my friends and my family. I will also tell other teachers.
What new questions do I have
I want to know what was the real reason the Megatherium got extinct? And what are the other species that are like it?
    Reflection:

I had learned a lot of facts that I never knew about like how it has massive hind quarters but it has a slimmer head and shoulders. It was a herbivore and it wouldn't eat meat. The Megatherium lived underground almost all day long it would dig tunnels with it's claws and I never knew that it would live underground I would have thought that it would have lived on trees and hang in there like regular sloths but it actually lives underground. I never knew that it was 7 meters tall and that it weighted a mouth dropping 8 tons. It was hard time making my website because I forgot to publish it and then I deleted it Ahhhh! It was rough but it was fun making the video and the screen cast I am proud of myself!

    What I WANT TO KNOW

I want to know if native American tribes were named after some states.
HOW I will find My Information
I will find my answer on safe search on Google. Also on You Tube.
    What did I LEARN

I learned that almost all the states were named after Native american tribes and rivers and explores. I found it interesting that it also that the spelling was different.

    What ACTION did I take

The action that I took was making a website and making a screen cast to go with it.
What new QUESTIONS do I have now

Some new questions that I have now are........
A lot native american and explores got to name the state, but did any one else? Were any states named after people or even food?

    Hanna's Reflection

I think what was easy was that I already knew what would happen because I have worked with weebly before. Also I think that I knew so much that I willing to help a lot of people with there work. One more thing that I think that was easy, I think that that was my mom's favorite and my favorite subject {that kind of history in school} and so I knew a lit from all and I mean ALL her stories about Native American Tribes!
I think that I would have done differently next time was that I would have worried about finding my facts instead of socializing with my friends. Also I think that I could have not worried about making the website and find the facts.
I think that the advice that I would give to others that are doing a project like this, I would say that I would advise you to go to metal floss.com and look there. That was my top website. Also to anybody who is doing a project, I would say to think about the time that you have left and move away from friends. Now, I know it might sound bad, but trust me! I think it will help you focus on getting the things done. Think of the 7 habits!
I had a lot of fun doing this project and I love having Mr. Solarz as my teacher! I love his creative ways and I am glad to learn about this topic!!

    L
    • I have learned that lots of things have developed and changed over the years since the World Cup was first made in 1930
    • I also have learned that lots of rules have changed in the game and for lots of other things
    • Another thing I have learned is who created the World Cup
    A
    • I will look up and watch YouTube videos and create a website that explains and shows what I have learned
    • Then I will make a screencast and put it on youtube so people can see my website and learn a few things from me

    Q
    • New questions are why do they switch balls and stadiums every year?
    • What new plans do they have for the future World Cups?
    Reflection
I had lots of fun doing my first passion time project! I also learned alot while doing this project. I learned stuff like, when the first World Cup soccer game was played, the year that the World Cup started, and how the World Cup developed over time since. I think that the hardest thing of all through this whole project was doing the reflection on the blog post, and coming up with ideas on what to say. I think that the best thing to do was make my website. I think that it was the best because it was my own website and I got to do whatever I wanted to with it, like make it my own creation. I look forward to adding on to my website after the years go on, and hope that I find more information and make my website the best it can be! I think if someone was starting a project like this the best piece of advice I could give is, try not to get too frustrated while doing the project because it will all get better and you will end up having lots of fun doing it!!

K: I know they do a majority vote

L I have learned what all the requirements are to becoming an olympic event.
W: What are the requirements for it.

A I got my question answered on how the IOC decides which events are in the olympics and which aren't.
H:I am going to research and maybe read some parts of a book.

Q I want to know how many people are in the IOC because want to know exactly how many people get a say in this.
Reflection: I had a lot of fun doing this. I learned a lot too. I learned that a sport to become an Olympic event it has to be practiced by men in 75 countries and 4 continents. And women in 40 countries and 3 continents. And then they would do a majority vote from then if they have all the requirements down. The most fun thing to do during this unit was making the website. I thing the hardest thing that I did this unit was making this blog assignment. The easiest thing to do was probably the website because once I got the hang of it I could really do it fast. I think the best advice I could give to someone who is starting a project like this is not to stress out if your behind because once you get the hang of it you will be fine.

They used to wear leather helmets. Close the beginning the would use white footballs in night games to see the ball.
                                L
I learned what I wanted to learn. I learned about how the helmets and the equipment have changed. That is what I wanted to learn. I made a page about the equipment. I would want to add more if I had more time.
                                W
How the helmets have changed over the years? Who and where were in the first super bowl?
                                A
I will try to add more to the website because I didn't cover it all. Once I'm satisfied I will try to tell people who love the sport to come check out my website and inform them how it has changed. Then I will make more videos chowing how it has changed for the people that I didn't tell.
                            H
I will use websites and my own knowledge of football.
                            Q

I wonder how the Super Bowls have changed. How the quarterbacks have changed like can they throw it farther or be more mobile.
    REFLECTION
I learned how the equipment has changed. The equipment has changed drastically because we no more now then before. Making my website and my collage. It was also looking back to see what I got done in the 12 periods. The helmet section was the easiest because I knew a lot about the already. I new they started with leather helmets and ended with the modern day helmets. I will try to add more to my website because I didn't get a lot done. So I'm going to work on time management.

I really liked creating the website and gathering the facts but sometimes I got hung up on stuff like deciding if the fact is good. Next time I will try to get more facts and do my website quicker. I will also work on it at home more and try to get my blog done in the last 2 periods. I will continue to work on my website by adding more pages.
