Watery Earth Lesson 9- Finding Bodies of Water on Maps

• What bodies of surface water did you find while examining the three maps?
  
• Were there any types of surface water on the Arlington Heights map that you weren’t able to find on the Illinois map? If so, why?
  
• Were there any types of surface water on the Illinois map that you couldn’t find on the United States map? If so, why?
  
• What are some names of the bodies of water in Illinois and Arlington Heights? What bodies of water did you identify?

• We found lakes. We found them on all three maps and I think this because there are so many. That's why our eyes spot them on the maps.
  
• The many small bodies of water. I think this because since they are so small, they are very hard to be seen than on the Illinois map that can fit everything.
• Many of the larger bodies of water. It think this because since they are bigger, sometimes they are located in one place and not in another map because sometimes not everything will make the map.
• I think one that everyone got was the Arlington heights golF club. This was big and some people might even go there😀! We identified many different bodies of water on maps. Some are, bays, rivers, seas, etc...
