| 1. It was not very hard but it was not easy. It was a little hard because my creature did not have much detail. 2.I think I did good at describing. I think I did good because I got almost a full page of describing even though it did not have much details. 3. I think that I could have done a little better at describing the ears. I think this because my partners' drawing of the ears were slightly different from the actual character. 4. I'm my partners creature I thought that I drew the character similar to the printed picture. I thought that my partners details really helped me imagine what the creature looked like. 5. I weigh that my partner explained the characters mouth differently because all she provided me with was "big lips." So what I drew were big lips but I wish that there was better description so I could get close to the creatures lips. |

Today we did our version of Tug-A-Rope for the American revolutionary war. We had two teams to Represent Great Britain and The Colonies. The red team represented Great Britain, the tallest and "strongest kids in the class". They were on Great Britain side because Great Britain was so experienced and was a strong army. There was also a blue team which were the shortest and "Weakest kids in the class." There were less people on the blue team because in the Revolutionary war, The American Colonies were so weak and was so inexperienced while Great Britain was experienced was the Strongest Army around who have been together for a awhile so, they had more so, they had much more soldiers to fight with. The white team represented Spain and France. They came in late because later in the revolutionary war when America needed help, they came to help so in our metaphor of the War, the "Spanish and French" came in late to "fight" the tug-of-rope with America. The blue team would be offered a prize if they won because they have worked so hard to fight for there land so they would be offered a great prize. So in our metaphor, Mr. Solarz encouraged the blue team that they would get a prize in class if they won. The one student that was not offered a prize on the blue team was supposed to represent a slave and in the war, a slave would just be help and he would not be prized with land. The white team cheered for the blue team because in the war, The French and Spanish helped the American Colonies so in our metaphor the white team which represented Spain and France helped the blue team like they would've in the war. Part of the red team joined late because the teams were not evened out. In the war the teams had to be evened out and it would still be okay if there were 20 on one team and 22 on the other but if there was 20 on one team and 27 on the other the teams would not be evened out. The blue team had to go over the bag by It the red team had to prevent the blue team of doing so because we were the "weaker" student so we had to prevent the "stronger" kids in the class from doing so.
