Science Fair Presentation- Draft One

I'm glad that I recorded my presentation on video before the Science Fair because...

It helped me get ideas on what I should say, how I should act.
It was good also that I got advice from other people for what I should say.

Lesson 9 - Finding body's of water on maps

5/20/2015

  • What bodies of surface water did you find while examining the three maps?
  • Were there any types of surface water on the Arlington Heights map that you weren’t able to find on the Illinois map? If so, why?
  • Were there any types of surface water on the Illinois map that you couldn’t find on the United States map? If so, why?
  • What are some names of the bodies of water in Illinois and Arlington Heights? What bodies of water did you identify?
Some new bodies of water I found were some inlets. I thought that was a cool one because I have never seen or learned about an inlet.
There were some. I think the reason for this is because the Arlington heights map was more zoomed in than the Illinois map.
There were a bunch, and the reason is because the

Illinois map is zoomed in and the united states map is more zoomed out.
Some names of bodies of water are lakes, rivers, inlets, etc. Some bodies of water I identified were all that are listed above in the last answer.

The Story Of France

One there was a girl she was afraid of being herself. Her name was Frace. She lived away from the city on a hill but her school was the city. She woke up and she had to go to school. She got dressed up and left for school. She had to get up early every morning because she lived a little distance from her school. It took 30 minutes every morning to get to school. She got picked on by most of the people and she didn’t have any friends. Day after day she went to school and was really quite and talked to no one. One day when she was at school she met this girl.

“Hows it going I’ve heard your name is France my name is Madi,” said Mad France just ignored her. “ I really like dancing to,” Madi said as she saw her book of dancing. “What is your favorite Dance style.”

“Mine is Hip Hop.”

“What a Coincidence me too.”

France was still the quiet kid but she had a friend that she had something in common with. They went to each others houses after school and hung out other places the got to know each other better. When they grew up the created a dancing class and thought life lessons to kids so if they are who they are they are going to learn to be who they are. They helped out kids and gave them a bright future.

I was made when a commit hit earth and the ice in the commit melted and I was created. I wasn't the only one there lots more than just me. I started of flowing in a river it was pretty boring. I stayed there for years and years until I was done floating around. I got evaporated in to a cloud and it was a blast up in the cloud. There were other guys coming but they came by Transpiration. I  told them that I started of in a accumulation. They started of in a plant. Some other ones started of coming from a human which is perspiration. It was getting crowded at the party. We were in a huge condensation. Now the party was way too crowded and some people started falling it was Precipitation.
Now I was back in the river and I got pulled out from a shiny hared thing. I fell a sleep. When I woke up I was is this machine that was giving me a bath. After that part was done i was packed in a bottle that had lots of water. I fell a sleep again I did not get a good nap so I went to sleep. When I woke up I saw this place there were lots of people and the were two nets on opposite sides and there was a circle in the middle. Some one in the same bottle as me told me that this was soccer. I saw this person coming of the grass and grabbing the bottle me were in and I got sucked out into the guys body. When he was on the field he was running allot so he sweated me out and then I got sucked into the soil of the grass. I dried up and i was no longer alive.

Watery Earth Lesson 6 - Drops of Water on Different Surfaces

4/28/2015

Surface

Rock
Moss
Leaf
Stick

Prediction

The water will slide right off.
The water is going to get sucked in.
Its going to slide off.
Some of the water will get stuck and some will go off.

Actual

Some water went to the bottom and some water sicked to the rock.
Some water slipped off and some water got sucked in.
Some water slipped off and some water stayed on.
Some water stayed on and some water went off.

Reflection

I learned that the water slides off the rock and some stays on the flat surface.
I leaned that the water gets sucked in but some stay on the green part.
I learned that most of the water slides off the leaf but a little bit of the water sticks on.
Most of the water went right down but some stayed because the bark was there to stop it.

My experience was fun. My perter I could really connect with he liked all the sports I liked. He liked soccer ,football, baseball, and Basketball. i think he did leave felling good about him self because when I said what do you think is your supper power he said soccer and I can relate with that. He said he is good at all kinds of things in soccer. I know i would want to introduce myself and try to find things we both like. Talk about the things they like give them a chance to talk. Listen to them.

Watery Earth Lesson 5 How Geologists use Water

4/10/2015

Geologists use water for many things, they use it to study the earth, wash off rocks, and much more. When a Geologist looks at the earth and see a system of rocks that hold and transport the water and connects it to rivers, these are natural path ways that transport the water. Geologists study the natural solid and liquid resources on the earth. Hydrology is a form of geology that is about the water on earth.
