Why is it important to use models when explaining or teaching things?
What are some limitations of models? (What makes them imperfect?)
How did you decide on the model that you chose for this video? What made it the best model for the job? (Why didn't you choose a different model?)

Using models gives a unique visual to your audience and it shows what you are picturing and/or thinking.
Some of the limitations of a model is that it is crude and sometimes doesn't express what you are thinking.
I thought that this was the best model for this type of video because it expressed what I was thinking.

What patterns did you notice about the shadow length throughout the day?
What caused these patterns?
When you analyzed your shadow graphs, when did the longest shadows occur? Why?
When you analyzed your shadow graphs, when did the shortest shadows occur? Why?
What was the most challenging part of this lesson?
What do you feel you learned from completing this lesson?

. At noon it was short and in the afternoon the shadow faced west. In the morning it faced east.
. These patterns of shadows were caused by the sun at different periods of the day.
. The longest shadow occurred at 9:20 a.m, because the sun was at the lowest point on my graph therefore causing a longer shadow.
. The shortest shadow occurred at 12:00 p.m because the sun was at it's peak therefore causing a shorter shadow.
. I felt like the most challenging part of the lesson was the shadow tracing because it was so hard to get to the exact position and the tracing.
. I felt that I learned that shadow can change dramatical or gradually throughout the day.

Day and night. The Earth is a sphere, or ball, which spins round and round as it travels around the sun. ... The side facing away is cooler and darker, and experiences night. Because the Earth is constantly spinning, the line between day and night is always moving around the planet.
The Earth experiences days and nights as a result of the planet spinning on its axis. As the planet spins, the part that is facing the sun experiences day, while it is night for the part facing away from the sun.
