This task is fairly simple. All you need to do is if you see a piece of trash or crumbs, just clean it up! If there is a HUGE mess on the floor, then you can get a broom to sweep it up into the trashcan! If there is a super big mess, than get someone to help you! One trick that really helps you is doing a give me 5 and reminding your peers to remember to clean up their trash. If you pick up a plastic wrapper, then remember to put it in the recycling bin. Crumbs and non plastic things are to be put in the trash bin. And if you see construction paper, remember it can NOT go into the recycling bin. Don't get tricked by that construction paper!
This job is very important because if you did not clean up the trash, then the classroom might become infested with ants! And trust me, you don't want ants all over your desk and backpack. That will not be fun! Also, if you did not pick up trash, then you would leave the janitor a whole lot of work! And after a long day, no person really wants to have to clean up a bunch of kids trash. That's why you DO pick up the trash. Please do not leave you classroom a mess, your teacher and janitor will not be happy.
