Moving the tables is important because if we need to do something like Mystery Skype set-up we need to move the tales of for shared reading set-up we have to move all the tables in the back. It's not hard because we have help from other classmates and we know when to do it, and it is all student-led. Once you do the activities that you have to move the tables more they will catch on fast and we also interpret if we will need to move the table but most of the time we know what to do and when to do it.
We all try to push in chairs throughout the day because if we dont Mr.Solarz will and we will get points of the check list. Are rule is if you see a chair that is not pushed n and you walk past it you can push it in, because other wise people are running around the room pushing in chairs and not working. One tip is you can do a give me five and say we are not doing so well on pushing in chairs so we need to do better! I feel like when we do that kids try to work better on pushing then in. I also think that you can say the table over there had to get a lot of chairs pushed in today so we need to keep on remembering to do that!
It is so important to push in our chairs because if we do not push them in we will trip on all of the chairs witch is not good. There is also one other reason why it is important because we want to get really good scores on the check list! Because how ever many Mr.Solarz pushes in get subtracted from the total of points!! If we do not push it in some things we need to take out of our backpacks or our backpacks can get stuck on the chairs!! When the Kleenex box is out of Kleenex the first person to realize it is empty, throws it in the recycling bin and gets a new box from the cabinet they make sure it is put back in the same spot. We have to get the Kleeenx box ready for the next person to grab and go. This job is important because if it was not done and someone needed a Kleenex right that minute it should be ready for them to grab and use. That is one reason but if it was never done we would be using paper towls. |
Collaborative Responsibilities
In our classroom, we all share the responsibility for its operation. Although some jobs are assigned, most jobs are shared by everyone and are done by whomever thinks of doing it first. This blog is a list of many of those responsibilities. Archives
