Schoolwide Reading- Lesson 2

• There is a man that is moving into a house that has been vacant for seven years.
• I think Henry (Stranger) is brave for moving into a house that has been vacant for seven years. I would be scared to move in because of ghosts and spiders.
• I wouldn't care if other people thought my house was horrible. If I had a house to live in and could pay for it I would be fine and have everything I need.
• Again and Again- That place is a disgrace that's what the neighbors say. They keep saying this because they hate how Henry won't fix up his house even though he likes it the way it is.
• Henry does not believe in people that want to change him he would like to be himself and not have people criticizing bothering him.
• He doesn't care what other people think about him.
• I'm proud of Henry because he is saying no to all of the mean peer presser and saying no.
• I think all the neighbors car about is money. I think this because all they want Henry to do is fix up his house and they really never welcomed him.
• The mayor suggested for them to be nice.
• I am starting to wonder if Henry is rude because when they brought him a pie and he kind of yelled at them. I think this happened because maybe Henry knew about that.
• Words of the wiser- The mayor said " Be nice, try it twice.". He said this because he knew all they were doing was being mean.
• Henry just said no for them to shovel there drive way.
• Henry just wants to be himself and be messy he wants to be different.
  
• Henry had moved on from his old house because he was annoyed of the people.
  
• The neighbors are missing him.
  
• Just because we got him to leave doesn't mean we meant to.
  
• Aha moment- having him gone doesn't make it right.
  
• The neighbors didn't really care about him only his house.
  
• The neighbors thought that not every one is exactly like them. They regret making him leave.
  
• They shouldn't have judged him so much .
  
• I think Henry will move back to the house because he missed the neighbors.

1. I read at night in my bed.

2. I like non-fiction books. I like these books because when I read I always like to be learning something that's why I really like the choose your own path books.

3. I really liked all the chose your own path books. I like these because they are non- fiction and it is like you are in the situation in the book.

4. I look at the back of the book or the inside where it kind of says a brief summery. I also read like the first few pages or chapter.

5. Other than books I like to read car and driver magazines, manuals, anything that I can read when I'm board. I don't know why but I will read really anything that has words on it when I'm like in a car or on my couch.
