Reflection Questions
| Reflection Answers1. My model only needed 3 bones, the Humorous, Ulna, and the Radius. The model also only needed two muscles, the Bicep and Tricep. 2. Well my pretend muscles were rubber bands so it could pull up the arm and pull it down like real muscles can. Speaking of pulling, my muscles only pulled they couldn't push, same with real muscles. One thing that was different about muscles than real muscles was that they didn't look remotely like a real arm, (but they didn't have to look like real muscles, just work like them.) 3. If the Ligaments were over stretched or torn, the whole joint would basically fall apart. If that happened it would make it very difficult to move that arm up and down. 4. A Ligament is a short band of tough flexible fiber that connects from bone to bone and holds a joint together, I used rubber bans. Next a Tendon is a stretchy rubber band material that connects bone to muscle, I used thin string. Finally Cartilage is soft pillowy type material that goes in between two bones to keep them from rubbing together, I used a balloon. 5. This activity was fun because I really like making and inventing new stuff. 6. One thing that was pretty challenging was that our first model was rejected so we had to improve it. |
