So Mr. Solarz lined us all up in a line from tallest to shortest to find out the teams for the challenge. All of the tallest kids went on the red team, all the medium kids went on the white team, and last all the shortest kids went on the blue team. The metaphor for the the team picking is the British army was more experienced, trained, and a better army then the Continental army. So all the taller kids went on that army. The blue team was supposed to be the Continental army because they had the weaker, less experienced, and volunteers in their army. I was on the Continental army because i'm short. So before we could start the tug-of-war Mr. Solarz had the white sit out and they would all help the blue team, but they could only come in when he told them to. Because the white team was actually France because was a big help to the Colonies in the Revolutionary Was because at first they just supplied them with equipment and food, but later on they sent troops to help us fight in the war. So thats why the white team couldn't come help us, because they came later. The red team got split up because it took them a long distance to travel to where the battle was happening, so at the start of the war Great Britain didn't have their full army. Mr. Solarz then said to the blue team if we win then we don't have to this blog post, that got us all motivated and pumped up. He said that because the Continental army was motivated to win the war because they were fighting for their freedom, family, and their future. "1, 2, 3, Wait wait wait, there's one more thing that he said before we could start." The British army had to pull there side of the rope past a piece a paper to win, and we just had to keep them past the piece of paper. We did that because the British army was fighting a offensive fight and we were fight a defensive style, so we just had to defend them of pulling the rope over the piece of paper. Finally we starting paying the tug-of-war, and about a quarter way through the other half of the British army came in and the French came in. At the end of it all THE AMERICANS WON, so now they won the battle and they are a free country.

What would have been different if America had lost the war? | Reflection Answers1. I was a member of the Continental army (the blue team.) 2. I thought that it was going to be a blowout and the red team would kill us because they had all the taller people. But then again I like being the underdog. 3. I really thought that red would win because they had all the taller people and we had all the shorter people. I also didn't know that the white team was France and they were going to help us, I just thought that they would play winner. 4. As the rules changed I got way more confident, because We were getting way more people in the middle of the war, and Mr. Solarz was bribing us, and the red team got split up. 5. The blue team won because we were super motivated, we had giant help from France because they were like one third of the class, because we just had to keep the red team from pulling the rope past the piece of paper. Last the red team got split up because it took them a long to get over where the battle was happening. 6. We would be forced to move to a different country because the taxes would be way to high. We wouldn't have a lot of land, and Great Britain would be controlling us. 7. I always wonder this kind of stuff, but I think that life would be much different. Because we wouldn't have had much land, we would be ruled by a king, and we would probably be poor because of the high taxes |
