What do I KNOW?I know that some items sink and some items float from buoyancy and mass. What did I LEARN? I learned that somethings that you think will float, sink and vis versa. For example, an almond sinks but a pistachio floats. I also learned that the buoyancy of something depends on the mass, weight, and the density. I also learned some new definitions of words. I learned that buoyancy means the ability of something to float. I also learned that mass means if somethings is hollow or not hollow. Density means compactness of something. | What do I WANT to know?I want to know what sinks and what floats and I also know why it sinks and why is floats. What ACTION will I take? The action I took was creating a gameshow! I gather items and during lunch recess homework club and video tape and put it on youtube! It is a fun way to share what I learned during my passion time! I will also post something on twitter to go check out my blog post on here and my website. | HOW will I learn it?I will learn if it sinks or floats by gathering items and putting them in a tub of water and seeing if it sinks or floats. Then, I will research why it sinked or why it floated. What new QUESTIONS do I have?I have 2 new questions:

Reflection:
My passion time project was very fun to do! My favorite was my game show! In my game show I have my classmates guess some random classrooms items and drop it in a bowl of water. Before we drop it in we go around and ask people if they think it will sink or float. We keep track of got it right and thee winner gets to be my co host of the show if they want to. The hardest part was creating my website. It was hard because I had never created a website before, so, I had to learn the odds and ends of how to do it! The easiest thing was writing the hypothesis. It was easy because it was just me writing down my thoughts and speaking my mind. Advice I would to others that are doing this project is, study words that would help you give evidence of why it sinks of floats! Over all, this was a very fun passion time round!
