What I KNOW?

That all lizards body work differently.

What I WANT to know?

'how a lizards body's work

HOW will I learn?

by reading and watching vidieos

What ACTIONS will I take?

Iwill look up how a lizards body's work

What new questions do I have?

what on a lizards tong makes it sticky

Reflection:

My Passion time was really fun, putting it together was a little hard but it was (ok).  I wanted people to learn how a lizards body works because I have a lizard at home and always think what makes them walk like a crocodile? and what makes there tung sticky? and if they even have taste buds that was probably the hardest part. I  probably should've chose a lizard because because all lizard body work differently.my only advice is that you put a lot of work into it you should also read a lot about how lizard hatch and how they catch there prey if you have a lizard you could maybe do some experiments on how they eat, grow and act.The hard part about this is that you might have to work really hard to get some of the answers if you want a bigger challenge you should go looking in a book or a big book about reptiles.

Can we learn about planes and jets and see how they are made? By Sama and Oscar

What I know

Planes are the fastest thing to travel with around the world. The plane have huge engines so they can carry heavy things like cargo, people, and etc. There are planes that have over 300 seats or less. A planes engine is at least four times a kids height. A planes wing flaps are so strong they can resist 575 mph. There is over 400 buttons in a plane. There are invisible highways in the sky that you cant feel or see in the plane.

What have I learned

I learned that there are lots of planes in the world. there is more than 500,000 planes in the world.
planes can have up to 1,2 or 3 engines on one wing.
There are a lot of different types of engines for every plane in the world.

What I want to know

What is the biggest plane in the world?
What is the original price of a ticket ?

What action will I take

I will research on kid friendly websites.I will find appropriate videos to watch about planes. If I see any thing inappropriate I will ignore it. I will ask for help if I need to. I will look at some books to see if I can find some information.

What new questions do I have

What is the fastest plane in the world and why?
What is the biggest plane in the world?

How will I learn

I will look at different types of web sites and see how many facts I can learn and put in my google slide show and my Education dot weebly. I will get facts from the internet and websites to get a lot of facts about planes and jets.

Reflection

My passion time was really fun to do. I had a lot of fun learning about planes and jets and airports and a lot more things about planes and jets. I had fun creating the awesome lego airport with Sama and we used 62 big base plates and 28 small base plates for the airport. I think we used over one thousand lego pieces for our airport. I learned that in the air there are invisible air highways and that you can't touch or see in the air. This is exactly how the airplanes travel through out our planet earth.I also learned that airplanes wings can be really long and there engines can be up to 25 feet wide from every side of the engine. planes have first class and second class but first class is about $12,000 dollars but second class is $2,000 to $5,000 dollars for I think at 4 people.I think that me and Sama really enjoyed learning about planes and we really liked researching about planes to. I hope you liked our project about planes and jets. By Oscar and Sama

Can I Learn about Duke Basketball's Best Players? By Joey

What I know

  • I Know that Dukes coach is coach K
  • Duke has the top three recruits this year R.J. Barret, Cam Reddish, and Zion Williamson

What Did I Learn

I learned that Dukes best players are not always the best offensive players but defensive. For example Johnny Dawkins Only averages nineteen points a game and some present players like R.J. Barret on Duke averages 23.1 points a game and he's just been improving.

Reflection

What I want to know

  • How many championships has Duke won
  • How many championships has Dukes best player won

What Actions Will I Take

I will tell others about the best players on Duke and tell them why as well as presenting it in a slideshow.

How will I learn

I will research Dukes best players and write notes in a google doc then I will present it in a google slideshow.

What Questions Do I Have

I still wonder if any of the current players will be a top three Duke player.
I am also wondering how many championships Duke won.
I have learned in this round of passion time many things about Duke I have noticed a lot of the best Duke players don't always get a ton of points but they get a lot of other things like steals, rebounds, and assists. Dukes Johnny Dawkins averages only nineteen points a game which is a lot but not for the top three players. Johnny Dawkins got a lot of steals rebounds and assists so that is why I think he is on the list. Dukes Dick groat is the highest scorer on my list but he also plays great defense he gets a lot of steals and a decent amount of rebounds. These three players are all on this list because they play good all around.
