What shape (or pattern) did the sun appear to make in the sky over the course of the day? What evidence do you have to support your explanation?

Answers

It makes an arc from east to west every day. My evidence is that you can make a pinhole camera and set it out for a few days and you can see the sun trail that it makes.
It got higher towards noon and shorter and the beginning and ends of the day. My evidence is the same for question 1, you can use a pinhole camera and put it outside for a few days and you can see.
It's important because if you use more than one landmark, the shadows will be out of order and you won't know how long the shadow is supposed to be.
It made and arc everyday from East to West starting low, then getting higher, then getting lower again, and it keeps repeating.
Yes because the sun goes the same way everyday.

The sun seems to disappear every night, but really the Earth is just turning so in the evening, the sun stays in the same spot, but were facing away from the sun.

Answers

Yes, if you get a light or if the sunlight goes through a window, shadows can be made if you're in the right spot.
Yes, shadows go up and down and to the West. It depends on the time of day. When it's noon, the shadows get shorter because the sun is very high in the sky. In the beginning and ends of the day, it's a very long shadow because the sun is lower in the sky.

The Earth spins two ways. One around the sun, and the other way it spins is

Day and night. The Earth is a sphere, or ball, which spins round and round as it travels around the Sun. ... The side facing away is cooler and darker, and experiencesnight. Because the Earth is constantly spinning, the line between day and night is always moving around the planet.
The Earth is constantly spinning on its axis, allowing sunlight to shine on different areas of the Earth at different times of the day, creating daytime when the Sun hits a specific area. When the Sun is not shining on a specific area of the Earth, it is nighttime. Since the Sun does not hit all of the Earth at the same time, it is daytime in some parts of the world, while it is nighttime in others.

The moon is affected by Earth's gravity, it dosen't fall down because it is a far enough distance to fall and the moon has it's own gravity to keep it from falling.
They're light and they're still in the atmosphere. They also have enough power to fly without falling.
Gravity never stops working and no forces can cancel it out that we know of. Gravity is like breathing, we can't make it stop, it just happens. No forces can cancel out gravity so far because the force of gravity starts in the core. No force can get that far into the Earth and stop it.
Because craters are caused by comets which use gravity to hit the planet.

Now that humanity knows quite positively that the Moon is not a piece of cheese or a playful god, the phenomena that accompany it (from its monthly cycles to lunar eclipses) are well-explained. It was quite a mystery to the ancient Greeks, though, and in their quest for knowledge, they came up with a few insightful observations that helped humanity figure out the shape of our planet.
If you’ve been next to a port lately, or just strolled down a beach and stared off vacantly into the horizon, you might have, perhaps, noticed a very interesting phenomenon: approaching ships do not just “appear” out of the horizon (like they should have if the world was flat), but rather emerge from beneath the sea.
The moon would not have it's phases if it was flat
Eratosthenes, Posidonius and El Mamun. The Greek philosopher Aristotle (384-322 BC) argued in his writings that the Earth was spherical, because of the circular shadow it cast on the Moon, during a lunar eclipse.
Since the earth is rotating (see the “Foucault Pendulum” experiment for a definite proof, if you are doubtful), the consistent oval-shadow it produces in each and every lunar eclipse proves that the earth is not only round but spherical – absolutely, utterly, beyond a shadow of a doubt not flat.
