I'm glad I recorded my presentation video before the Science Fair because:
- It gave me an idea of what I'd do in the actual Science Fair.
- It gave me something to compare to after the Science Fair.
By the end of the Science Fair, my presentation was much better because:
- I had more practice time, therefore giving my presentation a better structure.
- I adjusted my presentation so that I didn't bore my audience.
Overall, I think that the Science Fair was a valuable experience because it taught me three main skills. The first one is organization. I was able to organize my data to make it easily readable for everyone. The second skill is working at a good pace. While doing experiments, I made a routine and followed it so I could be effective and efficient. The last skill is communication. I learned how to interact with my audience to make my presentation interesting and fun. I also gave my presentation a structure to make sure it made sense.
I definitely made some mistakes along the way, but I learned from them. Here are some examples:
If I were given the chance to do anything differently, I would have made my google slideshow more detailed and grammatically correct. It would be cool if I did a more complex version of my experiment. I could test the same age group, but change my experiment. I would find their reaction time with a wooden ruler, then with a pink one, a blue one, a green one, and a red one.

- Instead of testing everyone 3 times, I only did it once. This might have caused my results to be inaccurate. Luckily, I restarted my experiment before I collected to much data. I now know that the more data, the more accurate results.
