1.What was the most surprising thing you learned about energy during this entire unit? Why was it surprising? 2. What was your favorite part of this energy unit? Why was it your favorite? 3. Where is energy found? 4. How would you define energy? | 1. The most surprising thing I learned about energy during this entire unit was how many different places I can find energy in, and how many forms of energy are in one object. I found it surprising because I never thought about the many energy sources in a wooden chair or a pencil, or maybe even a handful of sand. 2.I loved doing the insulated bottles because I had the freedom to choose what material I would use to wrap around the bottle. In previous years, I have never had the choice that I had in that activity. I also practiced time management, teamwork, leadership, and, of course, my knowledge on energy. 3. Energy is found everywhere, in almost everything. You can probably find hundreds of sources of energy around the area you are standing in. 4. Energy is the amount of heat, motion, light, sound, or chemicals inside an object. The examples given above are just a few out of many forms of energy. |
Mrs. George Skype Notes
- I never knew that Rube Goldberg liked shaking hands
- I would have never learned that from a wikipedia page
- I never imagined hat the hardest part of writing the Rube Goldberg book was picking the artwork they were going to use. I thought that she was struggling for information
- Mrs.George's father started the Rube Goldberg book, but passed away. The project fell into her lap and she continued the book. I was surprised to hear that she wouldn't have chosen to write a book if it weren't placed in front of her.
- Rube Goldberg started thinking about his crazy inventions when a professor gave him an impossible task.
- Mrs.George told us that Rube Goldberg was always the center of attention. For some unexplainable reason, I can imagine hip.
