We have 2 legs to walk on land. Our knees help us move fast. We have small fingers that bend to help us grip things. Our long arms allow us to be on balance while walking or running. Feet help us not tip over. Our lungs help us inhale oxygen. Our digestive system helps us digest food and break it down so it isn't just laying in our body. Our eyes send messages to our brain to help us react to things around us. We have ears on each side of our head to hear and react to noise around us. Our nose helps us identify odors and bring oxygen into our lungs. Our mouth brings food to our digestive system. Our teeth have different shapes to help is chew different types of food. 1. Compare and contrast your alien and a human. What similarities do they have and what differences do they have? These should be related to the parts of their bodies that have a specific purpose (Example: Both have feet which help them both stand straight up.) Try to be specific and explain things with detail. | My Alien's eyes are on each side of his head because when a predator approaches, he can run away. His mouth also serves as a gill for him to breath. He can suck on coelenterates to eat them with his mouth. His webbed hands help grab food as well as help him navigate in the water. His tail swings from side to side, helping him move. 1. Humans and this alien have nothing in common. While the alien's eyes are on the side of its head to seed incoming danger, we have necks to be able to see all around us. Our arms are flexible to keep us on balance and to hold things. Our hands have fingers that can wrap around things so that we can hold or lift them. My alien's arms are used for holding fish. Instead of legs that help us stand up, walk, bend down, ect, my alien uses his tail to swim through the water. |
