  1. What does food provide to animals, including humans?
  2. Do the pet food and human food have the same nutrients? In what ways are they different?
  3. Does a higher calorie count mean a food is better for pets to eat? What makes pet owners think that?
  4. What is it in food that helps us repair our bodies and grow?
  5. What in food helps us move and stay warm?
  6. In what way does energy transfer when animals eat food?
  7. Look at the nutrition label below for milk. How much energy is in the food?
  8. What matter is in the food?
Answers:
  1. ​Food gives energy and nutrients as well as calories for living things. This helps humans and animals stay healthy to live a good active life. 
  2. Well, some of the similarities are that they both have calcium and vitamin A., But the differences are that they Also the animals have a much more complicated ingredients.Some of the differences are lots of vitamins and acids.
  3.   I think that a animal needs lots of calories but but  if the pet does not burn off those calories then it is bad because then it is just extra fat that is unnecessary. I think that most pet owners think that it is OK because the pet will burn them off but I don't think that this is truer because calories are not burned off that quick
  4. Protein helps to get our bodies fixed.
  5. Well it is mostly calories because they help us stay active 
  6. .Well energy transfers for all the hard work the animal does to do things and it is transfer into those things.
  7. Well there is 160 calories which is energy also there is sugar carbohydrates cholesterol and those all could transfer to energy.
  8. Well really everything in the food could help make matter if you eat to much lots of matter will show up in your body.

  1. As a result of looking at food labels, what did you learn about food?
  2. Look at the ingredients of one human food label. Write down the food name. What ingredients came from animals?
  3. What ingredients in the above food label came from plants?
  4. What similarities and differences did you notice between the human food and pet food labels you looked at?
  5. Choose an animal/insect from the ecosystem walk. What do you think it eats? Explain what you think it gets from its food.

Answers:
  1. Food has lots vitamins and in each food the amount is way different. 
  2. I picked tomato soup, but no ingredients came from animals.
  3. Well the tomatoes, carrot fiber, soybean oil and some of the spices maybe.

  5. I think that grasshoppers eat grass. I think that it gets glucose and energy from grass.

KinderPals Reflection

  1. What is the KinderPals Program?
  2. In what ways do you think the program benefits the kindergartners? Try to explain several with support.
  3. Why is the KinderPals program beneficial to 5th graders? Believe it or not, you should be getting something out of the program as well!
  4. What challenges did you experience in KinderPals this year?
  5. What improvements could be made to the program for next year?
  6. Do you think the kindergartners enjoyed the stories from Peekapak? Why do you think that? Do you have any evidence to support your answer?
1. The Kinder Pals is a  program to teach young kids very important life skills that will help them later in life. Also it encourages us to teach them in a fun way
2.It definitely helps them to be a better person and it is very helpful that they learn these skills at a young age.  Also it makes it very easy to have them to communicate their feeling and that is a very important thing especially now because it will make them understand that feelings will be a big thing in life 
3. I think that it is beneficial to us because it helps us to communicate with young children and it teaches us to be very patient with others. Also it teaches us to adjust to our pals mood or something because kindergarteners are hard to work with.  
4.I experienced the challenge trying to encourage good habits and making them really remember good behavior and bad behavior.
5.I think that they could try to make it a bit more appealing to the kindergarteners. Also I think that they could try not to go over the same things.
I think that my partner enjoyed most of the stories but some of them I think go a bit boring for my buddy. But also he easily noticed the characters and he was able to read the book. But I also think that the book was to predictable.

Answers:
  1. Sunlight and water.
  2. We will change what the plant grows in.
  3. We are testing the growth of of bean sprouts.
  4. We are seeing how much it grows and how it adapts to the situations.
  5. So that we can be sure that all three are the same because just one is not reliable enough.
  6. The root does come out first because it needs water.
  7. Well I know because the plant needs to search for water.
  8. Because it already has nutrition in the seed but it needs water.

  2. Where do plants get their MATTER?
  3. Where do plants get their FOOD (be careful - this is a trick question)?
  4. Why are plants called Producers?
  5. What would happen if plants didn't have a way to get energy?
  6. What would happen to animals if there were no plants to eat?
  7. What are some of the LIVING components of a plant "system"? (A plant "system" is everything that a plant needs to survive and everything it produces.)
  8. What are some of the NON-LIVING components of a plant "system"?
  9. In what ways do the components of the system interact?
  10. What matter is transported in and out of the plant system?




Answers




1.Well plants get their energy from lots of places, they include water soil and the sun

2.Plants get their matter from water and the sun and nutrients. and when they combine all of those it turns into soil.

3.First evolve plants don't get food they just get fertilizer and water and stuff so they don't need food

4.Becasue animals use plants for energy and plants make energy

5.Then plants would die of starvation of energy

​6.Well then the whole animal chain would collapse because there would be no glucose from plants
7. Nothing.

​8. Well it needs carbon dioxide water dire and light. The things it produces are oxygen and glucose.

9. Well the soil absorbs the the  water for the plant.

10.Well when the sun goes into the plant the plant uses the energy for glucose and when the plant gets eaten the animal gets the glucose.

  1. Choose one of your Food Chains that you created and explain how it works.
  2. Can a Food Web be considered a "system"? Why or why not?
  3. What happens if a plant or animal all of a sudden disappears from the food web?
  4. Using this food chain, "sunlight to apple to worm to bird to cat," How do organisms in this food chain get the matter they need for body repair and growth?
  5. Using the same food chain in #4, How do organisms in that food chain get the energy they need for body warmth and motion?
  6. What do you think happens to the matter that is NOT used by the organisms in a food chain or food web? Is it wasted or does something else happen?
Answers:
  1. Well, my second food chain is the one that I will be picking. So in my second food chain the pill bug eat the rotting log and then the frog eat's the pill bug that just ate the rotting log.
  2. Yes because everything in a food chain works like it would in a system. The definition of system is  a set of connected things or parts forming a complex whole, in particular and in a food chain everything is connected.
  3. So for example in my second food chain if the rotting log were to go away then the pill bugs would have nothing to eat theretofore they would starve and then if they died the frogs would have nothing to eat and then the frogs would die.
  4. Well the apple tree will use the sunlight to grow and then the bird could use the apple to eat and the stuff in the apple could help repair the bird. and then the cat would eat the bird and then the cat would use that to repair it's body
  5. ? i dont get what they are asking
  6. Well lets say that a deer dies and nothing eats that deer well then the matter would stay there or get decomposed by bugs and other things.

  2. What is your favorite part of your preamble? Why is that part powerful and important?
  3. What is the purpose of a preamble in a constitution? What does it do?

1. Well, That would probably have to be adding in all of our rights and making it sound Professions. All I did was I tried to ask my partner and I researched.

2. My favorite part of my preamble was when I said "We will banish the tyranny and slavery, oppression, and intolerance for all Mars" because that is a huge bad part of our world. 

It opens the people about what you will go over In your constitution.
