• In the video, the colonists respected the king at first.
• The colonists made a life in the colonies and were happy.
• The people believed that the king would be proud of them.
• But the king started to make rules and laws that controlled the colonists.
• The king didn't allow the colonists to have a say in their government (Taxation without Representation).
• Boston Tea Party was one of the ways the colonists protested.
• The colonists were mad that the king was treating them like children, so colonists stopped listening.
• We declared our independence from the king and became our own country that was run "the people's way."
