How did the war change life in the colonies for everyone?

In the video, the colonists respected the king at first.
The colonists made a life in the colonies and were happy.
The people believed that the king would be proud of them.
But the king started to make rules and laws that controlled the colonists.
The king didn't allow the colonists to have a say in their government (Taxation without Representation).
Boston Tea Party was one of the ways the colonists protested.
The colonists were mad that the king was treating them like children, so colonists stopped listening.
We declared our independence from the king and became our own country that was run "the people's way."
