Watery Earth Lesson 7: My water molecule's Journey

    Once upon a time I was a water molecule. I started off in my life as a piece of ice in a Comet. Then I melted on this planet named Earth. Then I melted out of the ice and I was water. Once I was out I evaporated up to the sky. I was minding my own bee's wax then this molecule came over and said "Dude, wanna come to my party?"
    I said sure and I went to his house. I was having fun and then we all just took a dive. The guy that invited me said "Come on man let's jump down. You go and just hang loose just go down to the world and get out of this cloud."
    I said OK and jumped down. Ahhhhhhhh! I saw him then I remembered hang loose. I started flipping and doing front flips I just let it go. When I landed I landed in this guys water. I thought great now I just have turned into a little lemonade molecule. I was in this guy he was very smelly. One day he was playing outside and he was sweating. I just got out and I was perspired to the sky. I met the same guy but only in a different cloud. " I wish I was transported than persperated. He was like "Dude come to my house next rain. My house is in Lake Geneva. There is like lots of cars (fish). So it like really like hard to get into my house."
So I thought what if I just go over the cars or go to the crosswalk. What if it is as early as today that I go to Deandre's house. I think that if I go I would go with the flow and do everything what everybody else does. What would I bring? Maybe I could bring some Rice crispies.
I was walking across the street and this huge truck (shark) just came out of nowhere and just ate me in one bite. I was thinking dude watch were you are going like at least learn how to drive (swim). "Hey to stop you hit the left pedal.

Lesson 6 - Drops of Water on Different Surfaces

Prediction

I think the water will go right through the leaf and not effect anything.

I think the water will be absorbed and will not go through.

I think the water will go over the wood chip but the wood chip will be a little damp.

I think it will just go over and do nothing to the grass and it will stay the same.

Actual

The water just stayed on the leaf and did not drip down to the bottom.

What happened was that the water was in the moss and never left.

The wood chips were drizzled on and the water flowed off and left the wood chips wet.

What happened was that the grass just was a little wet and it was in the cup.

Reflection

I learned that the water does not even go through the leaf.

I thought that water would soak and and that is what I learned.

I learned that the wood chips get very wet when water get on top of the wood chips.

I learned that the water just goes away.

Which materials surprised you the most? Why?
Which materials do you still wonder about? How do you think water will respond to that material?

The Moss because it is the biggest thing I had and it would be pretty hard.
I wonder about the water. I think the water would just rise.

Overall, I think that the Science Fair was a valuable experience because I improved my communication.
I was messing up like silly mistakes. I would start saying the stuff on the wrong slide like I was about to talk about the abstract but I was on the graph.
I would give some things out like stickers or like apple types that I used on a slip of paper.

Sometimes you have to let them struggle and they will find there way out

Comparing is the thief of lowering your self-esteem

My parents because they push me to the next level and to keep trying.
I am the superhero for the younger kids because they look up to the older kids and I could teach them things they don't know.
My superpower is respect, caring, and citizenship. I respect the other people on the opposite team by shaking their hand. I am caring because I help other people out if they are stuck. I have citizenship because I become friends with lots of people that they don't have many friends.
I help other people with everything that they are struggling.
What weakens me is that if someone is better than me than I don't have as much faith as I do when I'm leading.
I want to teach them everything I know about the subject because then they feel how I feel like if they are down and I am up I try to cheer them up so they are happy.

My experience was very fun. Ayden was very fun. We had a lot in common like we both play hockey and soccer, we both like to draw, and we both like gym. Ayden and I played some that's me or that's not me. We talked about some sports and drawing. In the end we were drawing.

2. I think Ayden left feeling good because he made a friend today. I know because he looked really happy.

3. I would let the other person talk more because I did the most talking.

Watery Earth Lesson 5 - How Zoologists Use Water

There are many different types. But one of the types is a marine zoologists. What they do is they help marine life like dolphins, rays, and sharks. You will use a lot of swimming to just help the animals. They also study how the animals live. They work in all types of water bodies from oceans to lakes. There are to types of marine zoologists ichthyologists and mammalogists. Ichthyologists deal with sharks and skates. Mammalogists deal with dolphins and whales. They also use water and animals to study there behavior. They go and study their natural habitat. There are many positions in marine zoologists. They also help take care of the other animals habitats from being destroyed. They also test and experiment things on fish and other animals. They also use them to see the fish population and other marine life.

Trout live in water. The temperature they live in is 50 to 60 degrees fahrenheit. The water is in streams and lakes. They live in the streams and lakes in North America, Asia, and Europe. Now they were just introduced to Australia and New Zealand. They are only found in the Himalayan region of India. All the food they eat come from the water.

Humans

Humans don't get much food from the water. Humans also take showers.

They both live somewhere like in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Trout live in water. The water is usually 50 to 60 degrees fahrenheit.

It is because no one made it and we use it everyday in our lives.
We have to drink it everyday other wise you get dehydrated.

Water is because we didn't make it. Also it was one of the first things on earth/

I drink water during soccer and hockey practice to stay hydrated
I drink lemonade that has water
The dentist squirts water into my mouth when I'm at the dentist
I help make cakes and cookies with adding water into the recipe
I make noodles with boiling water
In the summer I eat watermelon that is yummy
I take showers everyday with using water to wash the soap away
I wash my hands every time I go to the bathroom
I drink water and swish it around after I brush my teeth
I put water in my tank for the frogs
I filter the water every other month
You wash and put water into the bowl for the dog to drink
You clean the dogs pee
You feed tons of fish
You also filter the fish tanks
I do slip and slides in the summer when it is very hot
I go water tubing in June and July
I also go wakeboarding and water skiing
Knee boarding
I do water guns
I go swimming in the summer in the day and night
We have blood which comes out of scabs which has water inside of it

I think washing your hands, drinking water during sports, and playing with water guns. I think these three because everyone has those three.
Blood, rainbows, and water polo I think are the least common. I think this because one person has these things.
