Stop and Jots:
- Henry is moving into a vacant house and is brave to do so because no one has lived in it for seven years. I'd be scared of the spiders.
- The neighbors were surprised that Henry was moving in.
- Henry doesn't care what they think because he keeps going.
- Again and Again: "That place is a disgrace!" The neighbors keep saying that. I believe the neighbors don't want the house to be there.
- Wow, Henry sure loves reading and birds. He is simple and still doesn't care.
- Henry ignores all the "neighbor pressure" and continues to think what he wants to.
- The Mayor suggests to be nice twice. Two ladies bake him a pie.
- But Henry snaps at them and walks away.
- Contrast and contradiction: Henry now is being not nice, not being simple.
- Words of the Wiser: The mayor said to be nice.
- Henry is a crab he said he just wants to be himself messy. He is also rude.
- Henry is reflecting on himself at night. He should follow social rules.
- Really! Henry is moving.
- The neighbors were missing him. I think Henry will eventually come back.
- Again and again: "That Henry" The neighbors think he is different.
- Contrast and contradiction: Henry is now missing his neighbors; and wrote a letter to the mayor if he can come back.
