- The British won the war.
- France had some land.
- But, England had most of it.
- England was in big debt. They went to the colonists.
- England is only asking the colonists and the British to pay for the debt.
- Native Americans don't believe in owning land.
- They were happy though to fight because some of the tribes didn't like each other.
- In 1763 (Just after the French and Indian War) King George made a proclamation that nobody could live past the West Appellation Mountains.
- In England you are born to be a king. If your mom and dad are a king, when they die you would take place.
- Things are more expensive in America, than England.
- England had to send a lot of tax collectors to America. The tax for the war.
- King George created the currency act. He said that your money is worth this much or less.
- They couldn't print a lot of bills so the money was worth more. That is why the currency act was created.
- Then they started printing more and more bills so it was worth less.
- Then the colonists asked England if the could have someone parlement so they could vote.
- The British said no. The colonists were furious.
- The stamp act was created. They needed to pay a lot of money to get important stuff.
- Then the stamp act congress met. They wanted to stop the stamp act.
- America thought if they refused to do the stamp act it would stop.
- After four months it worked!
- Then England created the Declaratory Act on the same day and that meant that you have to do what we want you to do. It was a way of saying that America was England's child.
- Then the American's took England's tax collectors covered them in tar and through feathers at him.
- Then because of that England created the Quartering Act. That meant that the British soilders had to stay at your house. You had to give them a place to sleep, and food to eat. Even if you are very very poor.

- Then someone yelled, "FIRE!!"
- The British Soilders fired their guns.
- Five people were killed. And six were injured. This gets called the Boston Massacre.
- Paul Revere then started exagterating about it.
- Then America looked to the Patriots. Who were fighting to break away from England and create their own country.
- But some people looked to the Loyalists, who were like we can't run our own country.
- But, then America formed a group that were trying to get people to become patriots.
- Then England passed the tea act. England had made to much tea. So they put a tax on other tea so America would buy their tea.
- Then the Son's of Liberty went crazy. They dressed up like Indians. They told the guards to leave. They were scared so they leave. They get on the ship. They started to throw ALL OF THE TEA INTO THE HARBOR!!! (The Boston Tea Party?)
- This made England very upset.

- It basically says... Hey! It is common sense that you are noticing that England is bullying us.
