Notes From My Research
- Fernenand Megallen Circumnavigated the earth but he died and Jaun Sebastian got it done
- If you placed two sticks at diffrent places and the shadow will change over time but if earth was flat they would not change at all
- When you are on higher ground you can see farther and when you are on lower ground you can't see that far the cause of that is the earth is a sphere
Notes from the Videos
- Pythagorus
- The earth is the only thing that can make a arch shadow onto the moon during the lunar eclipse
- Ships apper to sink when they get far enough and sometimes they may be sinking but there actually going aloung the curve of the earth
- If you stand anywere you will weigh the same and that proofeves that there is about the same amount of gravity at any part of earth
- Now we can travel in space and take direct photo's fo earth rotating
Reflection/Synthesis Questions:
- What does the scale of a drawing mean?
- How does the size of their drawings of Earth compare with the actual size of Earth?
- Even though your drawings are different than the actual Earth, in what ways do they accurately represent Earth?
- How does the point of view of a drawing affect the way objects look?
- .
- The Earth is way bigger than my model the purpose of models is to model something that is much bigger than the real thing.
- The things that make my model close to the earth is that my model shows a couple of country's like Africa and Antartica.
- The point of view will affect how you see the sun in different mark in the paper.
