Today we are starting our journey. We walk for about like 5000 miles and are feet get very blistered. We broke into partnerships very the biggest showdown in the prairie partnerships advanced, but somes journeys ended early. In the end the most painful well what I thought was the most painful way was to wash the needles and then pop the blisters and let the icky goo get all over and drench our campsite. Then we Finally got to a river. We had to cross it though. We were offered to be carried across by the ferry. We did not take the deal because we thought if they are not going to take the oxen then why make the suffer and so we made them suffer with us. I was thinking we could just all jump on the oxen but by the time we were all on there is would take like three hours to get across because we would all be settled on then we would just tip over because there was so much weight on we could do it then fall over and we might hit the wagon and tip them over. There was no way we could cross. So then we had to cross by walking and that was not the best choice because our blisters got worse because bacteria invaded them and turned them evil. There was lots of bacteria you could see how much bacteria went to the blister. Then we read about the painful journey of crossing the Kansas River. We learned about how kids had to help their parents wash clothes. We also read about how you could ferry across or walk through the river. Then in Day 5 we read about how people slept, what people wore( it was pretty ugly ), how weather destroyed campsites, and how the ride was extremely bumpy and rough.
