The Problem: Volcanoes
- The lava from volcanoes can reach up to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
- It would burn through our suit and kill us.
- We wouldn't have a lot of time to get to a safe place from a volcanic eruptions.
Our Solution
Currently there are almost no active volcanoes. There has been almost no active volcanoes for millions of years on the planet. Also there is very small amounts of flowing lava on Mars. So the chances of finding an active volcano on the Red Planet are very small/slim. There are only a few volcanoes that have even the slightest bit of lava and or molten. Just in case, metal tungsten can withstand lava and we can make small dome out of it, with supplies in it and just enough space to fit all 25 people. The only active volcano is Mount Olympus and we still might have to worry about that. The last time Mount Olympus erupted was as little as a few decades ago! So even though it is the only active volcano on Mars it still has lava flowing. We should also bring petroleum jelly or aloe vera to put on burns so in case someone does get a burn you can put petroleum jelly or aloe vera on it. By the way Mount Olympus has another name, Olympus Mons.
