What do I know? I know that there are different tools for using clay like you have a spiky tool that you get to use to make eyes or holes in the clay. I know that a knife type tool is good for cutting the clay in sizes that you want or to make indents. I know that baking clay is good for making clay charms or little statues or something that you want to bake. What did we learn? I learned about all different types of clay, what they are good for, what types of tools to use if you don't have any other type of tools, and I just learned about clay in general. I also learned that it is really fun making your own sculptures that are not in a book or anything like that. I also learned clay is extremely fun in general! | What do I want to know? I want to know if I can teach others how to create sculptures using clay, how to use the tools, and what types of clay are the best for different creations. I also want to know if people will use my information to make whatever they want out of clay and to get even better ideas for passion time projects. What action did I take? My action that I took was making an I Movie video and combining other videos that I made into one 1 hour I Movie video. Another action that I took was that I made a website about different types of clay and explaining about the different types of clay. | How will I learn the information? I will learn the information from my clay book, I will use websites to find what types of clay are best for different creations, and I will also use my art teachers tools for clay so I can show others how to use the tools. What questions do I still have? Some of the questions that I still have are: Where do people get there clay from and what is clay even made out of? |
Reflection:
This passion time project might have been the best passion time project that I have ever done because I got to work with clay and I absolutely love clay is it got my creativity sparking! I got to make sculptures of my own using my imagination and I got to learn about different types of clay and what they are good for. I also got to search for tools that everyone might have at home to use as back up tools. For example, I used a tooth pick to poke holes in my sculptures and I used a ruler to cut clay into different shapes that I wanted. I totally loved this passion time project because I got art involve into it and I really liked just showing others what I have learned from this experience!
