What do I already KNOW? I know that many countries have disagreements. And when they can't resolve it then war may happen. Many wars are started like this. Lots of countries around the world have different ways of running their government. Monarchy, democracy and dictatorship. Some of these types of government are more desirable than others. What did I LEARN? I learned that writing a constitution is hard; I gave up after the preamble. I also learned what stock is, I always though it was just a thing where you get money, but actually it is related to the economy and is for lots of businesses. I also learned how to manage my time better, and not take on to much when starting a project. I also learned how to use the green screen app better. | What do I WANT to know? I want to know my essential question. I also want to know more about the different types of government so I choose the right one for my country. I also want to learn more about how the United States solves disagreements with other countries. What ACTION did I take? I made videos about my country, project and more. The I put them on Youtube. I then made a website to house all my videos. | HOW will I learn this information? I will read books and use the internet. I will also combine my past information with what I learn. What QUESTIONS do I still have? I am still wondering about economy. Like where does all that money stay!? I am also wondering where the .1% of land on Earth that isn't owned by other countries is. I also wonder who makes the flag of a new country? Or who is in charge of a countries flag? |
In this passion time round I created my own country. It was fun because in the Mars simulation, a majority has to agree on something; but during this project I could completely use my imagination and come up with whatever I wanted. It was hard because I had to do a lot and make a lot of videos, but I finished it on time. One thing I got out of this was learning about other countries and their government. I actually looked at a few different countries governments but finally decided I liked the U.S.A's the best, so I made a government/country kind of similar to the US. I feel like this was a time worthy project and I am glad I did it.
