What do I know?
  • What website builder I'm going to use.
  • A few personal tips
  • What web design I'm going to use.
What have I learned?
  • Lots of tips on studying and doing well on tests.
  • Web design.
  • How to cite sources.

What do I want to know?
  • More tips!
  • Different types of schoolwork.
  • How to research using reliable sources
What actions will I take?
  • Recommending my website to teachers and students.
  • Use tips I learned for myself too!
How will I learn this?
  • Using reliable search engines like kidrex and google kids.
  • Checking out teachers' and educators' websites
  • Reading snippets and using tips that we learned in web safety and Ignition.
What questions do I have?
  • What can I do for a personal website at home?
In this project, I learned a ton about web design. I learned how to create a website that is appealing and provides useful information. My website is http://testwise.weebly.com/. It was hard to make, and took a lot of research and imagination but it was really fun. I also learned a lot of study strategies for myself, and not just for the viewers of my website. I got a B+ on my math test while working on this project. I think it really helped me improve as a student.

This was such a fun project to do! It was hard work though. Schoolwork isn't t the most exciting topic in the world, but I tried to make it as exciting as possible. I spent time working on this project at home and in school. I focused on both the design and the content of the website. Overall, this project was actually really frustrating, but the challenge made it fun at the same time.

What do I know?
  • I know that there are steps to get to a final product of a comic book.
  • You draw pictures and the characters have speech bubbles.
  • I also know you start off with a rough draft.
  • If I am making a series that means I make at least two comic books.
What do I want to know?
  • I want to know how to form a solid main character.
  • I also want to know the main steps to make a comic book.
  • I also want to know how to teach the step by step process.
  • Finally, I want to know what are some ways to draw a cartoon character.
How will I learn this?
  • Videos
  • Books
  • Magazine
  • Websites
What did I learn?
  • I learned that using ideas of others makes a creative project.
  • I also learned the structure of building a comic book
  • And finally I learned that using contrasting colors make your comic book more vibrant.
What action will I take?
  • I will teach more detailed in my videos
  • I will make more connections and relations in my videos
  • And finally I will stretch my videos to a longer point
What new questions do I have?
  • I wonder if adding more words in your comic will get the person an even better picture?
  • I also wonder if I could connect other comics like mine that have been published
  • And finally I wonder if I could make a comic more like a collage?

Reflection
This passion time project was really fun and some fun things about it was making the videos telling how to make a comic book. It was very fun because it helped me be more innovative with my drawing and thinking. I loved doing this topic and it was fun also by taking suggestions by others on my videos. Something that was easy was uploading the videos and my 4th video was simple, and my website was not difficult. The website was easy because it was a simple paragraph and just my individual videos. Finally, some things that were difficult was I noticed that with a partner it is more easy because you can share your ideas, but I didn't have a partner. I had some struggle with the drawing because I am not the best drawer when it comes to art but, I tried my best.

Reflection
This project was really fun. My favorite part was when I made the robot. It was a very creative process of using a toothbrush. The hardest part was finding an easy robot to do or one with out a saw. The easiest part was building the robot because it included very little materials.

What do I know?
  • I'm going to make a Trivia game
  • The game has to be based upon knowledge and not luck
  • The game needs to be fun and interesting (don't make it plain)

What have I learned?
  • I have learned games are hard to make and how to make them
  • I have learned about more revolutionary war facts/american revolution
  • I have learned some strategies for my game and also how to balance a board game so there isn't any luck
What do I want to know?
  • How to make a good board game
  • How to teach others to play the board game
  • How to beat the game
  • The rules of my game

What action will I take?
  • I will go home and play my game sometimes with family
  • I will continue to make games that are enjoyable
  • I will also make more strategies for my game and some tips for it on a piece of paper
How will I find it out?
  • Previous expirence with board games and how to make mine as good as those
  • Youtube videos such as Vat19 for ideas
  • Websites for the answers for questions on the cards (Trivia Game)
What questions do I now have?
  • Will people enjoy my game?
  • How can I improve my game to make it more enjoyable?

                                             Reflection

I liked this project a lot because I can bring it home and play it. It was pretty easy in some aspects including making the board and making the first few cards but then it got hard to make up new ones. The difficult thing for me was trying to make the game enjoyable. I threw out 5 cards because they either were too easy, too hard or just not related to the game topic. One example is: When did King George III become king? which I thought was too hard and confusing for some people. the most fun thing I did during the periods I had was playing and testing the board game. I thought it was a pretty good game and fun to past time! if I was a critic for my game, I would give it maybe a 8 out of ten because I think I could improve on the coloring because I colored in the wrong spots and colored outside the lines. I would also improve on the card quality because they weren't straight on the edges and also they had typos in some of them and maybe I could've done better handwriting. I am planning to play at home with my family and I hope that they like the game that I made.

Distances of Our Planes
Picture
Picture
What do I know?
  • I know how to make a classic paper airplane and some ways to tweak it.
  • I know that most planes either look cool or fly well most don't do both.
What did I Learn?
  • I learned the that the bigger the wingspan the longer it glides.
  • I learned that if there are air pockets that are open in the wind that it would not fly well.
  • I learned that you can make a plane turn by bending the tip of one of the wings.
  • Your plane will usually fly farther with an inverted tip.
What do I want to know?
  • We want to identify the ways that make a paper airplanes fly in the best way possible.
  • I want to know how the best flying/gliding paper plane works.
What action will I take?
  • I will continue this passion and continue to study paper airplanes and find out more about them.
  • I will continue to create and invent new planes as well as testing planes from books.
How will I learn this?
  • We will learn this by researching and using the trail and error process to see what makes them fly farther.
  • We will use trial and error to test and improve our planes.
What new questions do I have?
  • Is there more science behind paper airplanes?
  • If so what is it?
  • What will happen if I super size a paper airplane?
  • Why don't people make airplanes look like super-sized paper planes.

What do I know?
  • I know a few techniques so far like wet on wet etc.
  • I know that there are multiple techniques some easy some hard
What did I learn?
  • I learn many interesting techniques
  • I learned how to make cool designs
What do I want to know?
  • I want to know a lot more techniques to make a cool painting
  • I want to know if there is a way to make it look like wet paint
What action will I take?
  • I will teach by showing my website to others
  • I will also show my videos
How will I learn this?
  • I will look a websites
  • Watch videos
What new questions do I have?
  • I wonder if there are other techniques that have a cool science behind them
Reflection:
This was a very fun project. I think that the hardest part of doing this project is getting some of the techniques and having them look like they are meant to look and the easiest part was almost everything else. The thing that was probably the most boring was learning the techniques and the most fun part was making the paintings and the videos. Something that I would do differently next time is to change my website up a little bit and make it look a little different. Some advice that I would give for someone who wants to do this project is to make a website because it is a good way to show everyone your project.

What do I know
  • Some of the arenas
  • The cards
What do I want to know
  • The stats of the cards
  • The best deck for the 6th arena
How will I learn this
  • through google
  • People with experience
What have I learned
  • I have learned some of the good cards(Ice golem) and some of the bad cards(skeleton)
What actions will I take
  • I will test these decks out in Clash Royale
What are some of the questions I still have
  • Some of the questions I still have is how can I make these decks better
Cole's Reflection: I learned a lot about stratgies and that you need to have a balance between offense and defense. You need to think of all the things your oppoment does and then see how you can counter it. I learned that no matter how good your deck is, there is no perfect deck because your oppoment has so many opptions. But there are very useful decks and these decks are them.

What Are Some New Questions That I Have?

My new question that I have is what hand spinner (not fidget spinner) is the best in different categories! I also would want to find out the best one in speed and momentum.

My Reflection:

I learned so many new things that I never knew about at all so I worked hard and learned a lot about this topic, maybe more than any other project. I think the most fun part of this topic was when I made the different things out of snap circuits. The hardest part of this project was probably the creation of this lemon experiment. The easiest was to research.
I think that what I would do differently next time is to probably spend more time on videos than research. Some advice that I might give to others is to work hard on your website, and treat it like it has a required A+ grade! (even though we are grades free).
