Can I Make a Miniature Empire State Building out of supplies in the classroom? By: Carmen P.9/8/2017
Reflection I learned that the Empire State Building was a big part of construction's history. It was a big innovation. No building before the Empire State Building had ever had more then 100 floors. It was also fun to build and to research about, even though mine doesn't look exactly like it, it was still fun. When I first made it with just popsicle sticks it looked very strange then I thought that I should cover it with construction paper. Then I drew windows on the paper. I liked this passion project so much. Also it was very creative. So all in all it was a very good passion time project/question.

I know this can be hard in some videos where you're just building something, but try to tell more about what you're doing. I also suggest that you use one of those wide-angle lenses so that the audience can see everything thats happening in the video, or another idea is just to move the computer back. This also goes with, try to keep anything you're doing within the view of camera, because if you lift something up, then nobody has anything to watch. Try not to drift off camera, I get it if you're just going for supplies, but it's good to at least announce it. That way it's more like "I'll be right back, I need to get more supplies." I think a good idea for videos is to have sort of an intro and outro, something for an intro like "Hi my name is ____ and I'll be continuing ____." For an outro something like "That about wraps things up for today, see you later."

Thank you so much for the suggestions. I didn't even realize that I could have used a wide angled lens! For the intro and outro, I think that is a great idea. Next time, if I make videos in which I have to walk out of the camera I will make sure to tell the people who are watching, where I am going. I will also try to move the camera up and down to follow what I'm doing. Thank you for taking the time to look at all of those small details.
