Answer the following questions in your blog post. Remember to have at least one follow-up sentence for each question, when possible.
- What do living things get from their ecosystems?
- What evidence do you have to support your answer to Question 1?
- What does the term ecosystem mean, based on your experience in this lesson? (Don't use the definition from the BIG IDEA here. Put it into your own words.)
- Brainstorm at least one question you have about Ecosystems that you hope you learn from this unit.
- Look at the image below that shows a portion of a forest ecosystem. Name at least five components (living or non-living things) of the ecosystem that you can either observe directly or infer.
- What are three (or more) interactions that might occur in this portion of the forest ecosystem?
- They get their food and energy.
- Mr. Solarz said so and I also researched and 4 websites said that.
- It means the enviorment that living things live in.
- Why is it called an ecosystem?
- I can infer that they live in the woods. They live in a lake, they are living things, they eat fish, and they like water.
- The deer would eat berries and the berries are from the sun and get their energy from the sun.

I am Valentina Hill and I will be talking about the first week of space. The take off was a bumpy and heart racing experience. Everyone was a little scared and we all heard 3... 2... 1... The lights were going on and off. Some of us were waving and others were smiling at each other. It took thirty six seconds to get to space. Once we got to space, some of us looked out the window. The moon is such a beautiful thing because it looks like a white glowing place in space, I was thinking in my head.
Now its day two in space. Anti-Gravity is so much fun to experiment with and seeing your fellow astronauts flying in space! It will take time to get used to this but it is such a dream. The space suits are comfortable but it took time to get used to it. It got bumpy sometimes.
Now it is the 3 day and it is dark outside (like always). When you look out the window you will always see a star or a planet. Well its been a week now and we all have gotten used to the space ship and our surroundings. Six months till Mars! That might be a while but when we are having fun it will go by fast. We saw Orion and it was bright. We also saw Mercury! Mercury looked kind of like the Moon. I'm tired because it's not that comfortable and sometimes you get home sick or sick. It is really cool because I kept doing summer salts and I never got dizzy! I knew this would not be easy but it is fun especially with people you know on this trip.
My Job has been hard and everyone might die if I make a mistake because my job is a Atmosphere/Weather/Oxygen/Ventilation/Pollution/Air/Dust specialist. I brought earrings which are 1 pound, a book which is 2 pounds, drawing supplies which are 10 pounds, toiletree which is 5 pound's and warm socks which are 2 pounds.

I am Valentina Hill, a Atmosphere/Weather/Oxygen/Ventilation/Pollution/Air/Dust specialist. I am from Puerto Rico. It would be very important to have a Atmosphere/Weather/Oxygen/Ventilation/Pollution/Air/Dust specialist because we need air and we need to know about the weather and about the atmosphere. I am excited to go on this adventure to Mars because I can’t wait to help my fellow astronauts be in space!
