1.Which of the following best describes Earths shape? A. disk B circle C. sphere D. plane 2.Earth's gravity pulls an object toward its ______________________. 3.Which model do you find most useful to explain gravity and its effects? Why? -Tennis ball and rubber band -styrofoam ball and toothpicks? -Circle on paper with arrows? 4.Why are models helpful at explaining complex scientific concept like gravity? 5. Do you think the moon is affected by the Earth's gravity? 6. Why doesn't a plane or a bird fall from the sky? 7. Does gravity ever stop working? Do any forces ever cancel out gravity or reverse it? Explain. 8. Why is this lesson on gravity a good time to teach about craters? | 1.C. sphere 2. Center 3.I think the Styrofoam ball because it like the earth. Also you can stick tacks into them like people and it has the best demonstration for gravity effect. 4. Models are good because they have more potential of how thing work. Also because it representation an idea of an object. 5. I think the moon affected by the earth is because the earth has more gravity then the moon. Also the moon is smaller and smaller object have less gravity then bigger objects. 6. Ion is think it is because there force is pushing down on them. Another reason is because the bird and the airplane forwardly exceeds the drag off the ground. 7. Gravity will never stop working and No, nothing will reverse gravity but we can still go in the air with airplanes. Also with the airplane it has more power lifting it into the air then it forcing it to the ground. 8. Because craters are created by gravity because the force around the object has the force to push the object toward us. |
