​       There was a lot of things in this book that surprised me. Like the fact that 38% of people do not have adequate sanitation - public or household sewage disposal which is very close to half of the world. Also Asia's population takes up more than half of the whole world-60% of the world's population. *5% of the world's wealth is with the top 10% of people in the world. I also think it is very sad that 30 people in the village do not have a reliable source of food and are hungry some or all of the time. Going along with that is the fact that 17 people are severely undernourished and are always hungry. I was also like "wow" when I heard that we have about 7 times more chickens on our earth than humans. There are definitely some sad things that are happening in our world with things that are pretty basic like food and water. I think we definitely need to hurry up with coming up with solutions to these problems. One solution is to start to inhabit Mars so we can deal with our rapidly increasing population.
