Read "The Lorax"

Read "The Lorax" together as a class (or watch the original movie from 1972 here).
Discuss the THEME of the book (Environmental Awareness).
Complete "The Lorax" Venn Diagram in partners. Then come together as a whole class to add to each paper.
Add the Venn Diagram to students' journals or ePortfolios.

Big Idea(s):

"Sustainability" is the idea that we need to use earth's natural resources responsibly so future generations have the same opportunity.

Target:

Students will further understand the importance of "sustainability" and will be able to complete a Venn Diagram that demonstrates understanding of the value of the Once-ler.
